I think Geno is trying to send a message before ND. If you are in the game, you will be expected to play smart and execute. If not, he will put in someone else and see if they can. I try not to be overly critical of Geno, but that doesn't seem to be a way to instill confidence.

But, there could be other reasons why he is doing it as well. I am not in his head. No way I know what he is thinking/doing.
