UConn is on pace to win by about 30 and still it's not quite a comfortable feeling. Aren't we spoiled?
 
It seems that this Memphis team is far better than their record. Beating RU in OT was no fluke. They are something like 10-8 which is sort of surprising...
 
Terrible half of very sloppy and undisciplined play.
 
Had a childhood friend "come out of the closet" on Facebook today...and he was looking for support. Even in today's day and age, it's a bold move for a 43-year-old man living in a small town. Good for him.

Teams get pumped to play UConn and play their A-game. Rutgers may have underestimated this team as well. I think that they are pretty tough. I like em.

As Geno has said many times it is about how you play not the score and not the win. They played very poorly.
 
Of course, that's got nothing to do with the game thread, but it just popped up while I was watching on line. Sorry for the off-topic post...

The kind of game where Morgan Tuck would give us some "glue".
 
Memphis scores 23 points in 1st half just like they did in the last game. The difference is team is missing wide open shots/layups. Still a comfortable lead.

hmmm wonder what was up with KML. Didn't play much, and iirc not at all in the last 8? minutes?? 0 fouls, so that's not it???
 
Blacked out on watchespn for me here in brooklyn so ill be stalking the gametracker in the meantime. Aside from early fouls and 3pt fg % looks like we are playing well especially on defensive side. Maybe stop stealing so much and let stef and Kiah get those swats

Actually, the defense has been less than ideal over playing for steals and giving up quality shots on the failure to recover.

These AAC games will be tough from here on out (aside from possibly Louisville). The Huskies will be heavily favored, but we'll be expecting them to not just win big, but be impressive while doing so. So far, they're winning easily but aren't overly impressive.

One of times they showed her sitting next to Chris she was blowing her nose so maybe not feeling great? It is that time of year after all.

I thought Memphis looked well-coached in the first meeting. They have the potential to become the Rutgers, L'Ville or St.Johns counterparts in the new league, getting a recruiting boost from having UConn as an attraction for recruits.. Not sure if they have the potential of the Fighting Selfish.
