I scared the crap out of my cats on Kelly's lay in to end the half. LOL! They took off for the hills when I clapped and yelled. They are back but not happy campers right now. I couldn't break away to feed them at 7:30 per their schedule. Poor babies. :D

Yep- she won't be a Huskies of Honor member, but she epitomizes/embodies the effort and intensity Geno wants from his kids. And with Bria and Kaleena having bad halves, it was much needed.

Very good start, nice play to finish.

Need to make Kentucky miss.
 
Just looked at the KY roster.. they only lose Amber Smith and Snowden.... and the transfer from Cal (Stallworth) will play next year. They are gonna be really good again next season.

Maya Moore against Rutgers in the 2008 Elite 8:

40 minutes played, seven points, five rebounds, two assists. Just looked it up.

Freshmen struggle at this stage.

I hope KML is being encouraged to shoot and supported. This is why I watch college sports- to witness these kids go through the process required to be great.
 
Kaleena and Bria were off in the first half... as many had pointed out. Hopefully one if not both of them will come out on fire in the second half and light up the stat sheet. 3's, steals, assist, maybe a couple of blocks ;)
 
We're shooting 70% except for Kaleena. Would love to see her find the range.
 
UConn 14 assists on 14 made baskets, an amazing stat. What's more amazing that Kentucky is still in this game, and have momentum.

KY is a dangerous 3-pt shooting team. That opens things up.

They are daring KML to shoot. She needs to go hard to the basket.

You're right, of course, but I'd bet a nickle that KML will have more than 7 points by the end of the game. I'll bet Geno is in her grill right now! LOL

I was at that game, I had forgotten that she had a bad game that night.

If KML doesn't wake up, UConn loses. The foul differential should have been HUGE but the refs are allowing hacing outside of the key but not in it and that helps UK.

Probably Ketia's finest moment as a player.

Some paralells between Ketia and Tiff, actually, except Tiff has had better teammates.
