SCSU is pretty good this year. #2 preseason in D2. Return 9 of their top 10 from last year. Should be a decent game. I say we win 75-60.

If we average 93 points a night we might as well hang #5 right now.
Well, it's against a D2 team so 93 will be a bit higher than average. Of course if it turns out we do average 93 per game, then pull up #5 indeed.

Tough to gage these exhibition games because coaches tend to try various lineups to determine what works. If the team is made up of mostly veteran players, then coaches are just fine tuning things and there is little experimentation. If it's mostly a young team, composed of players with few or no minutes played the previous season then there is a lot of experimentation.

Outside of RB, PN and AB this team is brand new. Furthermore PN and AB were not the most reliable players last season. Purvis practiced with the team a lot, but there is a huge difference playing daily against your own team mates vs. the various styles of play opponents incorporate into their game.

I have no expectations. It's a process. I want to see the team develop as the season progresses. And frequently new teams don't develop linearly.

I think we struggle against a highly ranked, veteran and solid SCSU team. Need to find the chemistry, the line ups that work all kinds of things so I will be surprised if they are in mid-season from at all. Nothing wrong with it but we have a lot of new faces.

Should be fun to see the outcome.

Let's just lace 'em up and hit the floor - I've been waiting since April for this night and the outcome means little. I just want to hear that Purvis and Hamilton fit in well and that the big boys can avoid foul trouble. This team has talent and size - I have no doubt that KO can mix this into a potent formula - but it won't be in one night. Let's go Huskies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purvis is dropping 30 tonight. Huskies win by 30+.
