Game Highlights: vs DePaul 1/26/22

Notice that the best shots - wide open, feet set, swish the ball - is when someone drives into the paint and passes back out. Classic UConn offense there.

When the ball goes into the paint, out, maybe back into the paint - it forces the defense to move. That can open lanes or maybe force a defender to double a shooter and leave someone open, often wide open. This ball movement started in earnest in the Seton Hall game and I, personally, am thrilled to see it still being used.

There was a lot of standing around on offense in the second quarter last night but Geno must have reminded the team that 1. Defense and 2. Movement (ball and people) would get them shots. Good for the team for taking another step forward on offense.

Caroline displays a versatility on the floor the likes of which we haven't seen since last year and isn't that a very happy comparison. And like PB defensive presurre does not rattle her, she just goes at it. What a wonderful freshman.
