Gabby the world class high jumper (high school photo)

This may have been posted in the past, and probably most UCONN fans know by now, but part of Gabby's world class athleticism comes from her high school days where she was an elite Olympic-level high jumper. Here's a picture of her at 15 years old clearing 6' 2.25". Looks like she cleared it easily, but the bun could have been problematic!

Thanks! Had not seen it - would love to see a 30 min interview with her by someone who knows what they're doing. There's so much to that young lady, beyond basketball. She's just fascinating.

Speaking of "high jumping". I expect to see a lot of this type of defense not only from Gabby, but the rest of her mates. Great technique, excellent timing. Notice the distance between their bodies. No chance for a foul call. All ball!!

Thanks Jordy. I didn't know that Gabby is a Marvel (Captain America) fan. You learn something new every day here in the yard. Judging by the way she plays (and her affinity for flying through the air), one would think her idol would be Superwoman.
