Gabby - incredible rebound, great shot, wonderful athlete

Kia should definitely be yanked. She is the principal cause of every loss experienced since she's been a starter. Some things cannot be forgiven.

How did you guys manage to bleed "Yank Kia from the starting lineup" into a thread about the Gabalous One?
Anyway -the fault lies with us. We should have given more consideration (or NOT!) to the source of that very lame suggestion.

Yes it was awesome, she is a great athlete and should replace Kia (who I know is a very good leader, floor general, tough-as-nails defender) but Gabby got 6 rebounds; Kia 0, Gabby 3 stalls, Kia 2 and for those who will say, "They don't play the same position," well, I saw one instance late in the game where Gabby substituted for Kia, probably moving the Sweet CA gal Katie to bring it up the court

Kia, singlehandedly led the Canadian team in the Pan Am game and took the champinship from Stewie, Mojeff and the American team.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one on here enamored with Gabby - delightful to watch, great athlete, tons of future upside and she's very easy on the eyes too - gotta love her!

Geno mentioned that Gabby is one player who actually goes and gets rebounds instead of waiting for the rebound to fall into her hands and this play is a great example of it. Love this kid!

Kia should stay in the starting 5 because of all the things she does on the court and with her in the lineup there are 5 3pt shooters on the court which opens the game up for Stewie and Tuck to operate under the basket as needed and allows for better cuts and looks at the basket. Gabby is great and this season is perfect for the 6th player role and clearly her range is increasing (the foul line area and elbows jumper has been really good for her) but it's still not to the 3pt area

Her level of fitness and conditioning is both visually pleasing and so very central to her game. On top of that, she interviews quite well for someone of her generation. Hard not to like her, so I like her plenty!

It was not lame, look at what Kia did in Tulane game last night compared to the Gabalous #1 and did you see that rebound above all others in the 3rd quarter? That would inspire all of your teammates to play better.

You mean that her miscues are covered up by her teammates greatness - the team is winning despite her ineffectiveness these past few games.

Sorry, Kia belongs as a starter and getting 30+ minutes. Don't think anybody's gonna get her out of the starting lineup this year, next year, or ever. You seem to be the only person on earth who feels this way. She had a great game yesterday regardless of having an off night shooting.
