Gabby going off against Phoenix

Quality comment !!!!

Agree, Gabby demonstrated pro-ready skills, but in a later game against the Sparks, they had her on Candace Parker, NOT FAIR, Parker's size advantage and skill set too much for a 5' 11" defender, a definite coaching error and not a confidence builder for the gabulous one.

They don't really have any 4s is the problem. Gabby is better suited to guarding 3s. Cheyenne Parker is better suited to guarding 5s. Ndour is just bad. Just no good answer for that spot.

Gabby was matched up with Nneka more then Parker who she did an ok job on. I’ve been hoping gabby would get to play the 3 for a while now, a coaching error was not having Gabby guard Gray, like LA had Beard guard the sky’s most important perimeter player. Once Dolson comes back the sky should start Gabby, Parker, and Dolson at the 3,4,5, even tho she was 1-11 Gabby lead the Sky In minutes played.

Gabby has always been, and always(?) will be, one of the "funnest" players to watch. Her lifetime highlights video will be amazing.

For those that don't know, defense is Alana's claim to fame. She is the team's defensive stopper. Sometimes she won't score a point, but she plays an integral part in games they win. She will usually be assigned to guard the opponent's highest scoring guard. I tried to tell a poster last year that some of the things she does will not show up in the box score.
