I know we've seen pictures of Gabby like this in the past, but are we going to be treated to such incredible elevations every game now? A great example of a truly gifted athlete who has turned into a truly tremendous basketball player...

The jury is still out until she does a 360 blindfolded two handed tomahawk jam over Andre Drummond on stilts.

This is from the Elite 8 win last year vs Oregon. When I saw this photo at the time I believe I indicated that I didn’t know there was such a thing as “flightless ducks” because there were 5 of them in the photo, standing around watching.

You are totally right. I saw it posted and it looked like one of her drives in the 1st quarter and thought it was against Ashland. Having said that, here are a few more of our flightless huskie from last year!!

Well certainly Irish and roosters don’t fly, as clearly shown in your photos. ;)

They were ALL standing "flat-footed" with their mouths open.

They were probably all thinking the same thing: "Damn". Which is the expression that comes to mind when you see something that you've either never seen before, or haven't seen in a while. I've read reports here in the yard that Gabby can dunk. I haven't seen any photos or videos of this as yet, but I will give her the benefit of the doubt. Girlie's got "serious hops". A gift perfected by many years of training as a high jumper in high school/AAU. And yes!! Gabby will continue to jump center to begin the game again this season.

Off the record.............what WNBA team would you like to see Gabby go to in 2018? I'd like to see her go to the Sun or the Lynx.

Do you think Gabby could become a good college level coach after her playing days are over?

I'll see your Oregon flight time and raise with Gabby over Coates. Coates is 6'4, NaPheesa 6'1 and Gabby's arm pit is over Coates head.
Give me a second or two to find it.

I would like to see her go to Seattle (I also would like for Moriah to get traded to Seattle).
I am hoping that Gabby keeps developing her outside shot. If so she would be the perfect backup for Alysha Clark.

Imagine Moriah, J.Loyd, Gabby and Stewie running the floor. Show time Lakers - WNBA style.

My vote is for Chicago or Indiana. Will have more opportunites to see her play in person with those teams.
That said, whatever team she winds up on instantly becomes my favorite. ;)

Scary thought............Gabby at 6'4" instead of 5"11" with the same hops! A lot of opposing post players and PF's would be getting "served" (dunked on) in the paint by Gabulous. :)

Let's not forget that when she was high jumping in high school/AAU, she was jumping ABOVE her height. I believe her best was 6'2". She was able to bring that leaping ability with her to the basketball court.

As great as Gabby is as an athlete, she's an intelligent, aware human being that brings honor on herself, her parents and UCONN WBB! She is someone that truly her future is boundless as she can succeed in anything she sets her mind to!
