Too bad the refs can’t shoot for Tech. Yet, somehow they’re still in it, ND 53-50

Still fight left in GT. Afraid It’s going to be harder for them to not foul players than it is for Notre Dame to stop playing sloppy

Wow, I admire Muffet restraint with the refs. They should just give Tech the two points instead of blowing the whistle.

54-52

Both teams in the bonus. No idea why ND leaves the same girl open on the perimeter. Fortunately, The shot rimmed out.

Arike to line, ND up 58-52

Ogumbuwale remembers she’s better than everyone on Tech’s squad and gives ND a 10 point lead, 62-52

Tech is dreadful. They should never have been in this game.

ND firmly in charge, 73-56

Credit the Tech kids for playing hard to the end but they look tired.

It seems like Georgia Tech games are always like this. They never play good offense but they are physical, aggressive and athletic. Usually, like today, they make the game ugly for 2-3 quarters before ND adjusts and pulls away.

I was glad you noted the refs; I wanted to be sure I wasn't just being a homer. Tech seemed to be employing the "they won't call a foul on every possession" and the refs were more than happy to oblige.

ND sunk to Tech's level by playing fast and sloppy. I became very nostalgic for Lindsay Allen when watching this game. ND needed a guard with a calm temperament to take control and slow the game down a bit. Normally it suits ND to play fast but today the helter skelter game was exactly what Tech wanted. Tech has no chance of out-executing Notre Dame in a half-court game.

ND had only 4 of their 19 turnovers in the 2nd half. Once they cleaned that up, they took control. Jackie Young had a few loose passes but other than that she was fantastic today. 22 pts, 7 reb, 7 ast, 5 steals.

Yep, partly Arike taking the game over, partially a tired Tech

Interesting observation about Tech looking tired. Ms. Robinson made the same comment during the broadcast, saying -- something to the effect of -- while you'd expect it to be the other way around, considering the waves of players the Ramblin' Wreck sent in against basically ND's six, ND's getting used to this. Glad the bye week is over...on to Virginia this Thursday.
