We can enjoy it, it's okay. Playing Cincy is supposed to be a grind.

Amazing that when you do win you can only harp on the W itself when obviously improvements need to occur moving forward. If you say both "Great win BUT…." is it okay?

But to not be able to discuss the things that are hurting us from becoming who we can be is….well…..ridiculous. Not sure what bothers me the most the people who are so negative they are ignorant or those who dare anyone to discuss something other than the W itself…….this can also make coming to this board difficult (well not for me check there numbers) lol

to criticize this win is pure lunacy. the only thing that kept us from destroying the 11th ranked team in the country was that they matched our defensive intensity. most teams, cannot do that. point is, if you uconn plays that hard for a full 40 minutes, they will win a lot of games.

Just great D. I kept thinking that there was no way to keep up that defensive intensity but they did just that. I really like at the end of the games, in crunch time, when they do the Ben Gordon slap on the defensive floor to lock it down. Gets me doing the same on my living room floor and my wife becomes somewhat concerned. Great effort today.

I agree with you Mau, but its also ridiculous that we have a 3 page thread bashing a kid that played 4 minutes today. Ollie gives the kid a chance to catch fire or get into a groove, if he doesn't he pulls him. I'm more concerned about DD the last couple weeks and Brimah giving us little to nothing on offense or rebounding.

Obviously they can be a lot better on offense, but Cincy probably has the best defense in the country. They've only allowed two power conference teams to score 70 points on them all year, and they've only allowed 7 to score 60.

UConn had to play the way they did in order to beat them.

I have no problem with picking apart a win for ways to improve our team, and I don't understand those that insist we just yell rah rah after a win, but that said we beat one hell of a defensive team today and we beat florida and we beat a memphis team twice that also beat #7 louisville today. That gives me the juice to say that we can beat anyone on any given day, don't know if that's in the cards but we can play much better than this but it was big today, we'll see.

The Omar thread in some ways is wrong……..don't say "the kid sucks" or even "he can't shoot", we all know what he did last year and who he is as a kid.

It's not even just the board anymore. I was in section 102, row R and there was a guy behind me complaining about Napier the ENTIRE game. Dude, you had great seats, UConn played great defense, Bazz was the game's high scorer, had a double-double and--most importantly--your team won! Shut the duck* up and enjoy the game!
