Do you know how a post is defined? If any player wants to back their defender up to set up a fall away jumper or up-fake and under one wonders how far away from the basket one has to be to be considered a post. Stewie has used the back to the basket set of moves from inside the paint and out.Two items in the new rule changes that haven't received much attention:
Post defense
The panel approved a new rule that allows defenders to place a forearm or an open hand with a bend in the elbow on an offensive post player with the ball whose back is to the basket.
Bands and amplified music
In an effort to improve the overall fan experience, bands or amplified music may be played during any dead-ball situation during a women’s basketball game. Previously, rules allowed music to be played only during timeouts and intermission.

Dunno, maybe... I just don't like that idea, sounds like a gimmack. Kinda like if they gave football teams the ball at the 50 in the last two minutes (I know, don't give Goodell any ideas...). Might as well let them do it the entire game, but I'd rather that they don't do it at all. Unless maybe make them spend an extra timeout for the privilege?Maybe to make back court fouling by teams with"fouls to give" less attractive?

Only thing is it won't really affect UCONN much. We've had what, one close game in the past 2 years? It's simply an artificial gimmick to make finishes more exciting. It may accomplish that - but it really isn't fair. Why not make shots from beyond the arc worth 6 points in the final minute? That would also make for more exciting finishes.

Last minute before half time.Maybe make halfcourt shots in the last minute worth 30 points. Then you might get an exciting finish.
