Friday Night Sweet Sixteen & Dook

St. Peter's +13 was like stealing. 15 seeds have covered 100% in Sweet 16. The lines are always way too big considering the team's form. Congrats to them on winning outright and making history. Starting to think Holloway can do better than Seton Hall. He's adding a million to his initial contract each win though.

Providence +6.5 was also a winner, although a little bumpier ride. I trusted the fact that every game they play is within 6 points.
I had em both but my PC line was +7.5

Hey Providence had a great year. They made the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1997 and won the first BE regular season title. They will look dramatically different next year as most of their players are seniors
They also doubled their NCAA win output from the last 25 years so congrats on that as well. I guess this constitutes their dream season…..I don’t see it getting any better for them

Seems like a normal night for you
Dis Gon B Good GIF

Bernard from UCLA is very impressive.

This dude hates me. I’m good with it.

Props to PC. They lost to a better team but played them tight. No shame in that. A historic season for the Friars.

I have had a brutal week at work and will be in the office all weekend so I had a couple cocktails early and my judgment might be clouded, but that offensive foul called on Braun in the first couple minutes might have been the single worst charge call I’ve ever seen. I have no idea what Reggie Miller was talking about.
Your "judgment might be clouded" most of the time

I really like UNC to win it all for some reason. Just my gut. They've really come together after a horrible start to the season. I want St. Peter's, but realistically, anyone but Duke. I want to see Coach K. cry sad tears, not happy ones in his last game.

These should both be close games.

Mick’s coaching looks so much better with players that can shoot. Universal truth there.

I'm hoping Hurley follows Mick's recruiting/coaching changes. Mick's offenses at Cincinnati were BRUTAL to watch, but at UCLA he's recruiting really good offensive players and getting them to buy in on the defensive schemes. Hopefully we do the same

yup. They also lost to St John’s by 14 as well. SJU is better than those teams u mentioned but they did not come close to the Big Dance
St.Johns played us nearly to a draw twice. They lost a lot of close games. A team with flaws, like us just more.

Oh I know. UConn was very lucky in both games against St. John’s. If SJU won both UConn games and the Nova game in the BE tourney they would have been probably first four out or last 4 in. Their FT shooting cost them some games, too

the St. John’s message boards said this season was full of what if’s and I agree. I lament it too, I want SJU become good again-it’s good for the BE

Jules Bernard has really improved. I’ve been watching this kid since he was at Windward and I always thought he was a weak link for UCLA but he’s been very good.

How the hell did St Peters beat that FILTHY Purdue team? Didn’t catch the game.

Mick Cronin is like the least LA guy ever. Doing a great job but just a weird fit

Yeah but admit it. If they make FF for 2 years in a row it would be fun to see our good friend and Cincinnati fan, Kobe, and his reaction here at the Boneyard :);)

Defense, free throw shooting, dumb Purdue fouls.
That and Purdue is Charmin soft. And apparently poorly coached. Purdues two big men were literally 2x the size of St Peter’s big men and they only scored 27 between the two of them.
