Nice. Too bad that the author, like so many other folks, misuses the word, "compliments." Not a good reflection on the UCONN newspaper staff. He/she meant "complements", which means goes along with or supplements something, not the "i" version which means saying something nice to someone.

I hope the article is correct with regard to KK's ability from beyond the arc, but otherwise a well-done and thorough story!

Nice pick-up. The use of spell check, along with a general decline in writing skills, are evident every day in the media!

Don't miss the KK video reel imbedded (sp) in this article. Early on you'll see a nice smile on
Jamelle's face after a KK drive to the basket. It's before the three minute mark and Geno
and Jamelle are seated behind the baseline at one end of the court.

Having the GOAT WCBB HC and his top Assistant sitting first row, under the basket , there just to watch you, shows that KK can clearly perform under pressure.

Maybe Geno told her a joke? Naw, you're right, KK's drive much more likely.

As fans, we're playing catch-up. Geno and the staff have already seen her several times in games. They know what she can do. They know exactly how to coach and develop her so that she'll be ready and able to perform the way they want/need her to. They know what they have in KK. There are no surprises at this point.

For UConn fans still wondering how much Arnold will play this year, I think this quote by Geno gives us a clue......“She can push the tempo for us. Watching her play this summer, it was especially noticeable how aggressive she was getting into the lane, and defensively being disruptive. She’s a terrific leader and her teammates respond to her leadership. We think of all the point guards that are coming out of high school, she fits us better than anyone else. KK’s probably the first point guard since Moriah Jefferson that plays at that pace and is a little bit stronger."

As she creates space for herself, the move that stands out the most is her quick crossover, which compliments her in-and-out. They’re not complex moves, but she has them nailed down in a way that makes them tough to defend. I wonder how many times KK will be rewarded with an "and 1" this season after driving by an opponent using that wicked crossover and driving to the basket? That crossover-step back will also create "open shots" for as well. It's already been well documented that she is not bashful about taking shots. ;) Shooters shoot!! That's what they do. KK is a pistol.

KK will score on drives until they close down the defense or play zone which both options will open shots for our 3 pt wing shooters in Paige, Azzi and hopefully Caroline.
She will be a problem for other teams.
