Freeman possible visiting friday

So UK board saying Freeman to SJU, based on Trilly.
So, slick rick ends up with reportedly an injury prone, questionable attitude guy who inconsistently hustles except for the biggest bag? /s

Edit: Upon further review, maybe Freeman plays for that unlikable lout McNamara. Must have dropped a massive bag to convince anyone to stay in Southern Ontario.

A St John’s booster told me today that the Johnnies are/were in the lead for Diop, Thiam and Freeman (we’ll see as to the two centers?) and all expected to sign this week. And that the British PG they got (Quinn Ellis) would have been the number 1 PG in the portal if he had played in the U.S.

Now: simple. Relish & mustard
Spicy brown or Jewish deli mustard and sweet relish work well with a well-spiced hot dog that has a proper snap.

Creamy coleslaw and chili can elevate a less distinguished hot dog, but that's something I only get at a place that features such a combo.

As to Freeman, I've never seen him play, but I'd be delighted if he were to be the subject and beneficiary of an unprecedented bidding war, and thereafter fail to demonstrate his value with impactful on-court performance. Nothing against Freeman in my wishes.

Woooooooow.

Can we kill this thread now?
Maybe we can get the thread over 500 with some angst & quibbling over which report is correct, or arguing about NYC dirty water hot dogs vs. Skyline Chili in Lexington promised in a last ditch effort by Pope to lure Freeman to the SEC.

Of victuals most curious, speak we now: the grimy yet beloved dogs of New York’s watery streets, versus the sacred, spiced concoction of Skyline Chili in fair Lexington. A clash of realms, this is—grease and glory entwined.

And lo, whispers there be—aye, a most desperate gambit—by Pope himself, who, in final throes of cunning, doth promise such earthly delights to lure Freeman unto the dominion of the SEC. Strange times these are, when holy men bargain with hot dogs and chili.

Now I'm interested in this thread. Lots of twists and turns, curious to see where he lands

I was hoping it was back to Syracuse. I even has a video of Canadians preparing hot dogs all lined up (with mustard, by the way).

But the winner was New York-style, so add in some kraut and onions.

I get St. John’s is in NYC. But they are in the same Big East as us. Yes, they are private and we are public. They are also only 2/3 of our enrollment. Who are their boosters that slick Rick has huge bags every year to pouch so many top players from the portal and can outbid Kentucky’s of this world for Freeman? Not looking for some slogans/urban legends re: NIL so wise guys and loud mouths of BY keep to yourself. Is someone here with more intimate/real knowledge of NIL workings to shine some light on St. John’s NIL budget vs. UConn estimates ? What I mean, slick Rick pouches expensive pieces every year how can he afford it beyond a slogan he had more NIL which is obvious. At Jared - if you looking for some podcast ideas, securing some agents, ex players, sports lawyers (prolly impossible with client privacy) willing to shine some light on inner working of NIL VS. hypothetical estimates and urban legends. There is lots of surface level info and we can all repeat what we read online yet I find lots of info just surface level. I get that the money likes quiet.

Where would a major athletic program in the financial and media capital of the world find money? Most successful athletic programs depend upon boosters outside their alumni, and there are a lot of potential boosters in New York. Compare NYC to Kentucky, who sports fans assume has lots of money. NYC has 385 thousand millionaires, Kentucky has 84 thousand. AI estimates that close to a thousand New Yorkers are worth $100 million or more, and that doesn’t include the part time residents. Kentucky has less than 50, and the real number may be 10 or 20. New Yorkers also has thousands of corporate headquarters and various financial services funds. Kentucky has very few.

It shouldn’t be that hard to find some rich people in New York that like basketball. The better question is where do universities in poor states find their NIL sources?

Connecticut does pretty well with the same analysis.
