Freeman possible visiting friday

If we get Nik and Donnie, the obvious is that Mullins is the player to leave. I could be wrong but if any of our rising seniors were going in the portal, they, I believe would have left already to maximize their money and opportunities to find the best fit. Musical chairs.

Freeman seems rail thin for a 4. But I guess that is offset by his length.

Also very worried about his injury history but assuming the staff must be comfortable enough.

Definitely high upside, but a lot of risk.

If we land both Khamenia/Freeman I can’t imagine both Ball & Mullins returning.

Crazy logjam of players but exciting problem to have.

There's no way the 205 he was listed at is accurate. Gotta be 225+

You have a chance to play for the best coach in the sport, for the hottest brand in college basketball, in front of the most passionate (and best looking!) fans. In terms of skill development, developing your own brand, etc.. you're not turning that down to get slightly more playing time or slightly more money for a team that might crash out on the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. NBA GM's will find you if you have talent, whether you're a starter or our 6th man.

So apparently all those times he effectively dribbled the ball across halfcourt breaking press and the times where he was given the ball to effectively initiate offense were hallucinations on my part. I stand corrected.

That being said, I don't disagree with you that he needs to improve his ball handling and ability/initiative to drive into the lane.

I bet they are points of emphasis for his off-season work and he comes back improved.
If Reed dribbles the ball across halfcourt, does that make him a point guard? Of course not. The same is true of Solo. The few times Solo brought the ball over the line, I'd be wiling to bet 90+% of the time he immediately gave it up for someone else to start the offense. Mullins probably did that as much as Solo... he's not a point guard. I can't even recall a time when Solo was on the floor without either Silas or Malachi, but either way, you would not want someone with Solo's skillset trying to "run your offense", even as a backup.

He is strictly a catch/shoot SG who is still developing an ability to drive to the basket His handle is very suspect and he's not a great passer. He is in no way a point guard, and there is absolutely 0 chance Hurley goes into this year with Solo as his #2 PG.

I don't know enough about County to know if he's ready for that role, but if he's not, we'll definitely have someone besides Solo on the roster filling the #2 PG role. Solo is the starting or backup SG... period.

But I can dream of a team of Demary, Solo, Mullins, Khamenia, Freeman and Hines all getting starter's minutes with Ross and Stewie coming off the bench

If he makes it to campus I like or chances. Danny and Kimanis hit rate is insane when they identify their type of guy and get to explain the vision

Exactly right, don’t forget Russell Westbrook was the 6th man on ucla and I’m pretty sure he went in the lottery.

Would be nice though to find an athletic 3/4 to catch some lobs on the break and play terrific defense (in addition to Ross).

Hurley seems to offer multiple guys and takes the first to commit. Same approach in portal as in his high school recruiting.
It is likely a modified version of this. I like to think the Freeman situation is also about the Mullins and Ball decisions -- so that there is only room for one.

We will see.

Pure speculation but I’d guess he moved his Storrs visit to Saturday so he could leave Friday open for his UK acceptance announcement. Then it’s obviously no visit necessary. Wondering if he had his inner circle imply he loved UCONN early on just to put more pressure on Kentucky for a big NIL
