If Reed dribbles the ball across halfcourt, does that make him a point guard? Of course not. The same is true of Solo. The few times Solo brought the ball over the line, I'd be wiling to bet 90+% of the time he immediately gave it up for someone else to start the offense. Mullins probably did that as much as Solo... he's not a point guard. I can't even recall a time when Solo was on the floor without either Silas or Malachi, but either way, you would not want someone with Solo's skillset trying to "run your offense", even as a backup.
He is strictly a catch/shoot SG who is still developing an ability to drive to the basket His handle is very suspect and he's not a great passer. He is in no way a point guard, and there is absolutely 0 chance Hurley goes into this year with Solo as his #2 PG.
