How did we go from making almost all free throws in the NCAA tournament to going like 8-18 consistently?

We went from Shabazz and Boatright taking the majority of them and Daniels and Griffey taking the test of them to this year where everyone is taking them.

Makes us appreciate how awesome they were at FTs . The other teams were afraid to foul at end of ball games. UConn would win games at the line while others lost them. Don't have the stats infront but was wondering which other UConn teams shot FTs that well? 1999?

Well, they didn't have a meeting and decide.

Its crazy to see our 3 of our best years have been recent....when did we start that drill?

Hate to say this because there is so much more to each game, but the back end of 2 FT's for Boat in 2 losses were killers. So even on a couple decent days at the line we were eventually taken to the shed by misses at the charity stripe.

We made them against Florida again though didn't we? You win a lot when you're good from there.....

Really makes you appreciate the last few seasons when we've been good from the stripe versus the mid-to-late 00's when the stripe was a nightmare. I remember a few of those seasons when we had FT #s like Calipari's Memphis teams used to have...
