Every two free throws equals basically 1 foul (yes I know there are missed 1 and 1). You also have to take into account player personnel (and coaching).

But since you asked me to; "there is no trend".

You haven't taken into consideration that we were playing the majority of our games in the Big East, a league notorious for banging, physical play. Figure out the number of total shots per game for the leagues we played in rather than just UConn.

the single biggest difference is not the talent or style, it's the coach working the sidelines

Ollie has to do a better job of protecting his players and working the refs. An occasional T might help too, just not with 90 seconds left in a close game in which you already have the momentum

There's a big difference between Gibbs and Purvis getting to the rim and Dyson/Kemba getting to the rim.

Gibbs actually gets blocked, Purvis anticipates contact and even if it doesn't come, let's that mess up his finish.

Kemba and Dyson hit the deck so hard so often I used to marvel and how neither got injured.

what I am suggesting is that coaches who work the officials get the calls, I'm suggesting JC's teams were treated differently because of JC, I'm suggesting KO has to learn this

we trending bad as our competition is trending downward, not good trends at all

One thing to note is that we've consistently been able to draw fouls when posting up Miller or Enoch, both of whom are consistent scorers down low. I thought we should have done more of that last night, and hope we do more of it in the future.

Simplifying the offense is the way to go for this team.

I may be the oddball on the board in thinking that T's do not help at all. I am including the JC era. Right or wrong. 2 FT's and the ball in a close game. Ouch. Just my opinion.
