Found out Sept. 1 isn't a Band Day

I went to a Band Parents Assoc. picnic last night and they talked about the band's upcoming performance at the Rent. Turns out that Coach P had come home to Cheshire for a celebration the town threw him. The Cheshire Pep Band played the UConn fight song as he and Hathaway entered and P was impressed. He asked Hathaway to let the band perform at the Rent and Hathaway said yes. Cheshire is going to perform during half time without the UConn band, which will take the field after our band leaves. So there has apparently been no resurrection of Band Day at UConn.

What? When did they stop Band Day?

That was one of the highlights of the UCMB season back in the day, plus a great recruiting tool for the school as well as the band. They've gotta bring it back!...
