He had a generational fortune and now is it all gone or in jeopardy? I don't want to post links, websites and other info sites because of inaccuracies/opinions/predictions but the topic is all over the internet.

So many stories, so I look to the Yard boxing fans for answers.

Mayweather has run out of money a bunch of times. He gets in a financial pickle, schedules some stupid exhibition fight for a bunch of money (ie. McGregor) that no one with half a brain cell thinks is serious, but soaks up the cash.

He's an idiot who is really good at boxing.

Very good fighter but also very overrated.
I disagree with the overrated point. He is not a likeable person by any means. Floyd, from a technical standpoint, was a great boxer. His boxing prowess does not translate to his "money" standpoint. It is very public knowledge that he is a gambler and was very loose with his earnings and "relationships" which is the reason he has resorted to exhibition fights in his post professional career. This is not a shock.

Good. I hope he wastes it all. You’re given an opportunity that a very very small group of people ever get and you’re stupid with it?

He’s a top 5-7 boxer of all time.

Tremendous boxer. Ridiculously good. Insane to say he’s overrated.

But he has “I went broke and now I am a greeter in Vegas” written all over his later years.

I would box him for a million lol

He has talent still, but has too many leaches around him plus he can't handle money

You can disagree. My opinion on him being overrated has ZERO to do with his likeability. Yes he was a great technical boxer. I never said he wasnt but theres a lot more to it than that when you start talking greatness. Yes he was great but top 5 nevermind greatest of all time he is not. Top 20 or so, sure.

Not insane at all if you examine his career more closely than the average casual fan does. He was also likely a ped user.

I didn’t like him but I remember the words of a pretty good fighter he destroyed
“I knew he was to quick to go to the head with but he was so good defensively I never got a decent shot at his body which never happened to me before” He was a master boxer and among the most difficult to even get a glove on who ever laced them up.

Eh, he can raise money fighting Jake Paul or fight more exhibitions. I was never a fan.

i'm not a fan of either, but I've gotta believe that Mayweather would truly destroy Jake Paul. Mayweather is 47 Tyson 58 - big difference.

I was into boxing a lot more during the 70s and 80s because of Sugar Ray and Ali. Could just be my memory, but they both had great competition.

Leonard had Duran, Hearn, Haggler, and probably a couple others I can't remember.

Ali had Frazier, Forman, Norton, Holmes ...

I don't know that they were better than boxers since their times, the competition seemed to be an awful lot better.

Paul would destroy Mayweather right now. Floyd is like 160lbs while JP weighed in ant 227lbs against Tyson. Far to big a weight advantage. Its not a fair fight especially at 47.

Usyk is an all-timer. Incredible boxer.
