“Little if anything” is hardly a fact. In the 6-minute stretch when we went from down 3 to up 6. He made 3 shots in a row - all when Florida had the lead and the momentum. Those shots got us back afloat and started the pendulum swinging back our way. That’s pretty hard to do when you haven’t been in the flow of the game. But that doesn't change the fact that Mullins had little if anything to do with us winning this game Tuesday night.
Think back to Arizona - we lost momentum and fell behind by 12. Then we rallied and came all the way back - got the lead - but came up short. If Florida kept things going, we’d have been in a similar hole and maybe had a similar ending, but Mullins helped stop their momentum in a key stretch so we seized control of the game back and led by 8 instead of trailing by 8. That mattered a lot.
It is a fair point that he didn’t play well or disciplined on D and we’ll see better games from him. But he picked up his first 2 on his second possession and his third in the second half immediately after checking in, so he never allowed himself to break a sweat and get settled in. A learning curve moment to be more mentally ready when he checks in (which won’t be so much of a factor if/when he becomes a starter)
