4-1 against the OOC biggies so far. Beat Texas, go 5-1 and it's as much as UConn can ask for OOC.

And going 4-1 without a full, healthy lineup for any of the games so far.
This is the way. And the close L was questionable with 40% of the starters out.

And Hack-a-Taris is a terrible strategy. He’s not a bad enough ft shooter for it to really be effective
Kids got great form and looks great when he is focused.

Florida is better than their record. Great effort by both teams. That was fun.
THIS—//// except replace the last word with “stressful”. Whew. Tough as nails win. Fla is tough. How the hell are they ranked 18? Seem top 8-10 to me. Big win for us mentally. Everyone contributed and played well. Demary was only non factor but he didn’t play bad

I think Demary is undergoing a big adjustment. If he stays positive I think he develops ahead of Newton's pace. Nice to have Smith in reserve while that happens. And yes -- Ball and Mullins at the same time is going to be a big step forward for this team. But just about everyone has room for improvement (although AK has been huge of late).
Right now he has no idea if he needs to try to score or to be a playmaker, and as a result isn't doing either. He'll get there, the talent is obvious when you watch him

against a brutal schedule we are
9-1 and we have a pretty good idea of what we are …two good centers , two good point guards , lots of impactful wings and alex who always makes big plays at big times. we may or may not win the natty cause a lot always has to break right but no one is better than us .

Mullins only playing 11 minutes was his own doing. He needs to calm down on defense. Although his 4th foul (I think) was all Reed's fault for trying to strip the ball instead of just continuing to wall up. He left Mullins on an island there.
He’s in a tough spot. His first college minutes should’ve been against cupcakes. He’s learning in the fly. He’s going to be our best offensive player by the end of January

Figured tarris would fade a bit later in the game dealing with that front line coming off an injury wasn't getting the lift on shots that he did in the first couple of minutes. Biggest moment was hitting those 2 fts when floiida went hack a reed.

Silas can't lead this team if he's on the bench with early foul trouble. You are the lead guard you need to be on the floor you can't pick up a second foul 30 ft from the basket 8 minutes into the game and be sitting the rest of the half.

Thought the team constantly putting lee on the line was what really got him going, when you have a guybstruggling with his shot you don't put him on the line and let him see the ball going through the basket.

Yeah he was so undecisive on the 1 3 pt shot he took in the 2nd half. He obviously is not confident trying to score in this offense yet.

That's the big thing holding us back from really opening up these games and putting belt to arse. When he really starts to figure it out and Tarris is 100% and beasting we're going to be nasty. We have all the parts.

This was a team effort. We needed every contribution from every player. We needed every point from Silas and every rebound from Ross. Our margin was razor thin. Exactly the kind of game we needed to play. That was championship level effort from both sides. Bodies on the floor. Blood in the paint.

Just enjoy this one. Everyone is not going to play to their ceiling every night. The team won.

Lol, thank you for the remedial phone use tip. I just would rather be able to glance down and see it in full..

So would I. Unfortunately for me those days ended several years ago.

Reminding myself that Newton had some downs in his first year too. A lot on his shoulders, but he’s a great, proven high major player. He’ll bounce back
Immediately after Kansas game, Hurley went on the field of 68 and answered this question “what will it take to make this team a championship contender” with:

Getting our two PGs more comfortable in the offense. They missed some slips and some reads tonight. I ask a a lot of my QBs and it takes a while to get comfortable in the offense. But right now Silas is better than T New was at this point in his first year.”

My question is: is this legit or is he trying to build his confidence?
