The chat got a bit scary there for a bit. Please please please don't be dumb and send hate messages to the players. While it's disappointing, the run had to eventually end...and they put up a great fight against a team that absolutely could be the champs at the end of the day.

Proud of the boys...let's go UConn!

Great effort. Just a poor shooting game and poor defensive rebounding was the difference between having a huge win and a close loss. Ugh!

GREAT effort by the team. Knocking off a 1 seed was a big ask and we came damn close. I know fans will be disappointed, but proud of the fight the team showed. It's a bit unfortunate we ended up an 8 seed, but shot ourselves in the foot with the Seton Hall and Colorado losses.

Hoping for great things in the future for Samson, Hassan, and Alex...

We came close that was all you could ask for outside of winning by two instead of losing by two.

Everyone thought the Gators were unbeatable and UConn had them for 35 minutes, even with one of the worst 3pt shooting of the year. Bummer.

Fought like hell and made FL earn it.

They competed their behinds off and their shot quality was better than Florida's, the inability to hit open shots killed them all season and it was there again today.

I feared with the way McNeeley was going the past couple of weeks that Dan's unlimited rope with him was gonna cost them big and it did today. I know Stewie had the missed reverse that he forced but it ain't like we didn't see McNeeley do the same thing multiple times today, Stewie needed more minutes in the 2nd half. I hope what we saw today and all season doesn't have repercussions for next year's roster.

Great effort, Danny coached his tail off, and the boys gave Florida everything they could handle. This team was always just a bit shorthanded, but I’m proud of the way they fought all the way thru the final whistle. Today was a good reminder: Danny is a fantastic coach & this team isn’t that far off. Few roster tweaks/additions, they’ll be primed for another deep run.

We had wider open 3’s than normal but Liam was 2-8, Alex 2-9, Solo 2-9. Miracle it was that close and a ton of layups missed.

Absolutely heroic effort. To go toe to toe with the absolute favorite of this years tournament is no joke. Florida hit great shots down the stretch through Clayton. We were cold from three to start and still managed to make this a game. Can’t ask for more

Those two missed Florida foul shots when Liam could not secure the rebound hurt us bad. Both time he was out of position and the ball bounced off his outstretched hand.

Incredible game. If McNeeley grabs those boards and Karaban doesn't try that weird circus shot we win.

Diarra is a warrior. Johnson showed up. Good luck to Karaban and McNeeley in the NBA.

Despite the up and down year, we were right there with probably the best team in the country. We don't need much to win next year.

We played a great game. The negativity about this team was way off.

We got all the shots we wanted, and couldn’t hit them. Florida hit shots when they needed to. There is nothing else to discuss. Congrats to them.

Could've/maybe should've won but proud of the effort! We controlled the pace almost the entire game which is what we had to do to pull it out but we just missed too many shots and Clayton hit his. Our most talented scorers are a freshman and a sophomore, their top scorers are seniors. That was the difference.

The Free Throw rebounds and the non call on the Alex drive was everything. I would love to see that replay, because it looked like he was hacked.

Great performance by the team, Dave Portnoy can suck a bag of D&^ks

Go get a PG Danny, with Stewart, Reed, Ball, and Potentially Alex coming back plus the (3) stars, a quality PG puts us back in the title chase

It doesn’t take much to lose to a #1 seed / a little daylight and they make you pay

Solo did not lose the game for us / it was just the turning point.

Coaches called an incredible game. Almost pulled it off. Just couldn’t make our open shots and gave away too many possessions in the last 5 minutes. We had this one, just couldn’t close it out.

But Hurley and coaches were masterful in this one.
