Florida Husky Fans - Check In

Isn't Florida the 6th borough of New York?

Orlando here. I live 25 minutes from UCF and it was awesome to be able to see the Huskies down here. Now I have to hope our Huskies play USF or Florida, a 2 hour trip, for a chance to see them in person in Florida again.
Nice! We made weekend trips from Boca to watch games at both UCF and USF. So much fun!

My sister lives in the Villages, and she has two golf carts.

You can have that place. I don't even like to visit. Its like retiring and going back to high school. Gossip, peer pressure and BS.

I've had two Florida lives. I lived in Odessa when I was USF from 1977-90. Moved to Reno, NV to escape the craziness, heat, and humidity. I retired to Homosassa, FL in 2008 to escape the droughts and fires.

Oviedo, FL here (northeast suburb of Orlando). Struck out on my own in the mid-1980s from Tolland, CT, with nothing but my car, clothes, and record albums, and have been here ever since.

Endured the numerous "You went to school where? Yukon?" until it became the nation's capital of college basketball.

Also enjoyed going to the UConn-UCF basketball games, both men's and women's. Hope we can start another series with them. UCF gets its biggest crowds of the year when they play UConn, mainly because so many UConn fans attend.

Snowbird here. In Stratford most of the year, but on Treasure Island for 6 weeks starting around New Years, then Hutchinson Island for the rest of Feb. While I welcomed the move to the NBE, I'll miss those USF & UCF games that frequently occurred in Jan-Feb. Even if they schedule some Florida games they are more likely to be at a time when I'm back north.

Orlando snow bird. Would always go to see the UCF game. 10 minutes to UCF. Will get to Columbia this year and Knoxville next. Other than that it's tv only for me. Unless for some strange reason we go to the Greenville for the NCAA

So this is the community where everyone has golf carts for riding around the community.
Solivita residents also ride around the community in golf carts. Difference is Solivita will top out at around 5,700 - 5,800 homes. The Villages is long past that number.

I’ve been to one of the games there. Nice facilities!
USF has a real nice facility. Season ticket holders have a buffet meal before each home game. Price included in your season ticket. With the buffet comes a cash bar for those who wish to have one. The buffet area opens 90 minutes before tip off.

Fort Meyers area Babcock Ranch first all Solar community in the US. House will be done in 1 month. Former ice chopper and snow shoveler!

Somebody at USF knows how to cater to their fans/season ticket holders.
