For all the tradition and support, Nebraska is just not a job that any quality coach with options is going to want. It is the sixth best team in the BIG (fighting it out with Iowa) and it's fan base is going to run out anyone who doesn't win the league regularly.
Totally disagree. They are in the Big 10 West which is not that strong with Wisconsin, Northwestern, Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, and Minnesota. That's not like the Big 10 East and Nebraska should be able to win the West fairly consistently. And, with winning brings better recruits which brings more winning.... Mike Riley was a horrible choice for head coach, but it was a difficult coaching search. This time, you have a head coach that is the perfect fit for Nebraska and he is proving to be pretty good at UCF, Scott Frost. And, Frost's UCF experience will help Nebraska recruit Florida.
