First workout with Coach Harper

Hold up! Evina Westbrook was at the workout? 23 Second mark of the video?

Harper also visited with Jordan Hortson.
I think she can be a game changer. When she gets there.

Already, the coaching improvement is evident. Tennessee could be much better next season, because of one single word uttered by their new coach....."discipline". Tennessee has athletes, they need a coach that can teach.

AND INSPIRE!

She knows what a championship team looks like. She was part of three of them. Including one of the best teams ever 1998 team.

I thought this was a dead period? Are practices allowed post season? I thought not until 40 days prior to the first game?

Good question.

Maybe this was an elaborate Photoshop. They took some Missouri State footage of Harper, changed her shirt color from maroon to orange, and superimposed her image on top of Vol practice footage from last season.

If Tennessee can keep Westbrook, that will be huge for them going into next season. Seems like Harper made it a priority to Bring the team together as soon as she got there.

Really happy with what I've seen from Harper so far. Hope she can keep Westbrook on board.

It a dead period for "recruiting" & it actually ends today. Practices are allowed per New NCAA rules adopted circa 2011? As long as the players are attending classes on campus coaches can practice a limited number of hours per week, NTE 5? consecutive days.

Teams that lose early in the tournament (e.g., Tennessee) are more likely to use this time to practice. Teams that make deep runs in the tournament have earned a break.

So I take it Horston (from Ohio) and the other LOI's that have yet yet to graduate HS are attending classes in Volland? Man, if Geno ever did stuff like this....

Horston, Key and Sanders aren’t on campus yet and were not part of the practice shown here. Horston is coming at the end of May to attend the first summer term. I believe Sanders and Key will be doing the same.

Thanks Got it.

Kellie definitely will have to be able to recruit well, but at least for the next couple seasons her newly inherited team will be stacked with talent.
