Just wanted to throw out what I saw when watching the tape of the ESPNU show. We like to complain about ESPN and being local yet never giving us the nod. Well we can't complain at all about last night and what transpired from that program. It was a recruiting tool which very few received. If you sat and watched the show you realized the bulk of the show was Kentucky/Cal, Arizona /Sean Miller and UConn/KO and Geno. That's a pretty nice thing to have and last night, if indeed any recruits sat in and watched, was impressive. From Andy, Jay, Seth and Jay Wright the positive vibes coming from the program was sensational. Add to it that none of Wisconsin, Maryland, Ok State, South Carolina, VCU or others who are recruiting some of our top targets were on there, last night could have been huge!
Great job by Andy Katz's crew but certainly Jay Williams the Dukie made it clear he loves KO and is a true believer in the UConn "family feel". I thought Jay Wright was great too talking about JC handing it off to KO and his stories from the past.
All in all a very good night for the Huskies and hopefully the fact they were on of the Big 3 on that 3 hour program helped just a little more in a decision or 2 out there in high school land!
