Lol really Kobe? Maybe you guys should actually play a quad one opponent before you talk?

By the way, just in case you've forgotten how your season ended last year:

(The Boneyard always remembers.)

Hopefully, you guys can put together a nice little NIT run again this year! It would be good for Cincinnati fans to have something to cheer about.

The present NET rankings are not looking good for Big East NCAA bids.

Which goes back to my complaint. We played UNH and Sacred Heart. Then added UMES #362, East Texas A&M #296 and LeMoyne #283.

That didn't prepare us adequately. Truly the worst of the worst cupcakes. Should be playing Northeastern, Maine, Bryant, Brown and CCSU. Might have made the different in losing an OT game to Memphis. I know you can't predict it fully in advance when schedules are set, but you can do better than we did.
I agree with this. At the very least you have a much better idea of what you can and can’t do. I don’t have a problem playing a couple of lower level New England opponents, UNH and Sacred Heart for example, but come on. East Texas? Maryland Eastern Shore? Really? We should be looking for at least a couple of games against teams in the 100-200 range and maybe 1 in the 75-100ish range. In addition to whatever we run into in whatever Tournament.

And I don’t think this was a “miss”. It was intentional. On know planet did anyone think UMES or Texas A&M Commerce or LeMoyne would be anything but what they were.

As best as I can tell, this is our lowest NET ranking since we were 42nd on Feb. 26, 2021.

FWIW, we got as high as 28 before finishing the season at 30.

Right now, the ONLY reason why our NET and Kenpom aren't atrocious is because we've beaten up on the worse of the worst D-1 teams. Danny has scheduled this way the past few years to hedge bet in case the MTE's go wrong (like they did this year). I hate the bottom barrel home slate as much as anyone else, but it was and has been the right call to schedule it this way. With Danny saying he's not doing MTE's moving forward, it will give us a better overall mix of non-conference opponents.

You're right, we should give buy-game opportunities to plucky New England mid-majors like Boston College (#150).

And yet they're still top 10 in terms of odds for winning the national title.

Go figure

Only people that don't have to risk something financially would put them at 39. But I don't care

They can pay us to play them. Not sure why we pay anyone for the honor of playing UConn

For those looking for some positives, we could say it's been less than three years since we had a poorer NET ranking..........

Have they made changes to the NET? For the last few mornings, the Quad records haven't been published. Did I miss a memo?

what do the quad records being published have to do with whether they can release the NET rankings?

You can see the quad breakouts in the team sheets, they are just not displaying on that page for some reason.

Not sure I understand your question. I'm just pointing out that the Quad records are not displayed like they used to be.
