1- SC, Indiana, Stanford, UConn
2- Iowa, Notre Dame, Utah, Duke
3- LSU, MD, UNC, Ohio State
4- Texas, VA Tech, Florida St, Michigan (or Colorado)

My wild guesses.

Texas had been much higher in the NET rankings than in RPI and the human polls (which aren't supposed to be a criteria when it comes to the bracket; but, I can see the human element being influenced by it for those committee members who view the weekly polls). But, now our RPI (12) has caught up to our NET (10) and SOS is at 8. Prior to knowing that, I was just hoping to be somewhere between #13-16; now, I'd love to see 10-12 tonight.

Ohio State's seed tonight really interests me. Just 2-3 weeks ago they were riding high and looking like a Top 8 national seed.

Now, they are #15 in NET, #28 in RPI, and their SOS is #68. I could see them seeded like 13-16 tonight.

And, what will the committee do with LSU's #112 SOS, #19 RPI, and #3 NET ranking. NET is supposed to be the most important to the committee, right?

Put LSU as a 9 seed

Bubble fringe tournament team

Well, with South Carolina as the likely #1 seed, no other SEC team can be seeded 8, 9, or 16.
Sure they can, just not in the same regional grouping.

I'm surprised to see Maryland and Ohio State in the same regional.

There are 5 big ten teams. The only other place you could put Ohio State is in the UConn bracket with Michigan. If you do that where would you put VT? You have to protect the top 8 seeds.

On the ACCN show tonight, Coach McGraw was railing against LSU, saying they didn't deserve to be the #5 team.. mocked their non-conference schedule and overall SOS. There was surprise that Villanova was a 4. Lexie Brown thought FSU would get a seed, but they put up their numbers next to VIllanova's and Nova had better numbers... due to their much better out of conference schedule.
