Historically, these are the most consecutive years:

UConn 5--Bird and Taurasi

LSU 5--Seimone and Syl

Stanford 5--Wiggins and Nneka

Notre Dame 5--Diggins and KMac

UConn 13--Maya, Kaleena, Stewie, Lou, Phee, and Paige

Of the 4 participants in this year's Final Four, UConn has a streak of 13 straight Final Fours. All 3 other participants will have a streak of 1, regardless of who wins tomorrow.

Of all the other worldly records Uconn holds this may be the most impressive.Tough enough to make it to the final 4 but 13 years in a row! Astonishing..before the season started I just wanted them to keep this streak going but now that they are there may as well win the whole thing

Everyone knows that UConn holds the record with 15 straight trips to the Elite 8. I could be wrong, but I did some checking and it looks like the old record was 9 by Louisiana Tech from 82-91. I don’t think UConn’s consecutive Elite 8 and Final 4 records will ever be broken.

Had not thought about an E8 streak, which got me to think about this: UConn has been to the E8 in 25 of the last 27 years. The exceptions being 1999 and 2006.

Since 1994:
25-2 in S16 games
20-5 in E8 games
11-8 in F4 games

During the quarantine last year Sue Bird/Megan Rapinoe and Diana Taurasi/Penny Taylor did an almost 4 hour instagram live and at one point they touched on the canceled tournament and Sue and Diana joked that Coach (Geno) was probably relieved the tournament was canceled cause Paige was coming next year. Funny to look at where UConn is now.

Its an incredible streak and I dont think it will ever be matched, and its not even over yet and hopefully wont be for a few more years.

Connecticut technically tied Tennessee's record of 27 straight Sweet Sixteen appearances this season, but that is a deceptive record, since Tennessee had a dozen before the women's tournament went to 64 teams, and only had to win one game some of those years. Connecticut's 27 are all from the 64-team era. The second longest active S16 is 13 for Stanford, and the second longest active Elite 8 is 3 for Louisville.

Had the tourney been 64, TN would've been playing a 15 or 16 seed, at home. Safe to say they would've won those.

Their streak probably included 'region' seeding similar to the UCLA streak. I am curious how that worked for the women as the South was the major power location for the game.

That IG live was probably the highlight of the spring for me.

Geno and UConn set records and break their own records. The Greatest of All Time.

You are either an imposter, or your had an attack of carpal tunnel syndrome, narcolepsy, or your keyboard broke suddenly. Power outage?

That blank page after only one sentence does not compute.
