Final Four? - Redo

Presently, I don't consider us a final four team. We are just a player or two short of matching up with the best teams in the country. However, there is still plenty of time for player development and growth, and Geno has a knack for knocking off teams in the big dance.

I’m with you on this assessment. A lot depends on Westbeld’s return to form, and Koval’s further development. But all the signs look positive for them. Another way to put it: ND hasn’t peaked yet.

In ND’s most recent game vs BC, Westbeld started and played around 20 minutes, shooting 6/7 (2/3 from the arc) with 5 rebounds. Other than conditioning, I’d say she’s ready to go.

The more I see ND play, the more I’m convinced they have the best starting 5 in WBB, now that Westbeld is back. Whether they can match up with SC’s depth or Betts size remains to be seen. As for UConn, Geno may need to pull a rabbit out of his hat to make it to another Final Four……..just like last season.

Agree and ND matches up best against the teams whose defense let's quick guards drive to the rim. Without a true shot blocker, UConn does not match up well in this regard today. All of our guards do play good defense, and KK plays great D so suspect that Geno will find a solution. Strong matches up well and if Paige plays like Paige, we may not be favored but have a solid shot.
