Sportsinteraction has Mississippi State minus 2 and UCONN minus 12. Seems about right. Opinions?

MSU-Ville is a toss-up, anything within 3 points is reasonable.

I would bet the farm on ND +12, they always play us tough and never fold. Covering -12 would require the game to be out of hand early in the 4th -- unlikely.

For non-betting types, that means MSU is a 2 point favorite (they’re “giving” 2 points to Louisville so the odds are even) and UConn is a 12 point favorite.

You should check our last 5 or so games against them. UCONN -12 is a great bet.

For what it is worth (which ain't much) Miss. State is now -2.5 and UConn is -14. The over/unders are now 137.5 ad 159.5, respectively. Ho Huskies!!!

What are the moneylines?

I would bet the farm on the Under in our game.

And following up on Nan's post, the over/under refers to total points scored.

So -14, with o/u of 159.5 ==> UConn ~87-73
And -2.5, with o/u 137.5 ==> Miss St ~70-68

I'd guess the under on both games.

Only 2 of our games vs. ND out of the last 33 have gone over a total of 160, and one of those was in 3OT. These games are always lower-scoring than is expected.

+/-159.5 is ludicrous, just absolutely insane.

Moneyline is ND +900, UConn -1500.

Maybe I will put this month paycheck on ND.

Those odds imply that ND has about a 1 in 12 chance of winning. That is way, way too low.

I wouldn't bet the farm on ND, but this month's paycheck? Definitely. You make that bet 10 times you're going to come out a winner.

With 81 points late in Q3, under is looking good in game 1. Not sure they'll even make 120.

Why is there a movie theater usher over behind the Louisville bench?

Gambling update:

As I originally thought, ND covered +12 wire to wire. They also hit the +900 moneyline. We are a horrible team to bet on at the Final Four. Could have made a lot of money tonight.

I was wrong about Under 159.5 though, albeit with an asterisk of overtime.
