I think she made one at SC.
Yeah, I did not word my original post well, but that is what I meant: "Before tonight, Saniya Rivers hadn't made a 3 pointer since [making one single 3 in her collegiate debut], more than one year ago.

Just Notre Dame alone negates any combined likability from those other programs, which is quite weak tbh

Then add in Boston College and you've permanently broken the unlikability scale :)

I can see why ND could be unlikable.. Boston College for me is like pepper on a sub sandwich. I have nothing against it, they don't add much to the flavor, but I don't ever tell them to leave it off.

Very interesting. Indiana looked insane yesterday. I Iiked their transfer pickups but Garzon is truly a difference maker.
I don't know what to make of NC. I don't think they've played that well but I do see them still as a contender for the ACC title. I thought Paulina Paris was going to be an instant difference maker for them but looks like she may need a year to get acclimated to the college game.
I also don't know what to make of the lower tier teams in the ACC. I know they r u they won the challenge. But teams like Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Miami, who I thought were sure fore tournament teams have not looked great.

Syracuse is rebuilding with a new coach. For as much success Legette-Jack had at Buffalo, it can't be assumed that Syracuse would improve that quickly. It helps to have transfers familiar with her system, but she's still working with a group that are learning how she wants things done as a coach.

Georgia Tech, not sure what to say. I don't follow them close enough to understand how much of the team remains from last season. I know Cubaj was drafted but I can't recall if anyone transferred out / in during the off-season. Their game with Michigan State went down to the last few plays, so the jury's still out on them.

Miami is perplexing considering what they accomplished last season, especially during the ACC tournament. The hype around the Cavinder twins hasn't really translated on the court yet in my opinion. Their key freshman Oldacre hasn't played yet either (injury?).

I'm tracking them primarily because of Lattimore who transferred in from Texas. As a highly ranked prospect from Canada along with her former team mate Day-Wilson, it hasn't translated on the court the way people expected it would. Her team has been hyping her transfer to Miami, to help with her branding, including some games earlier in the season where she scored in double digits. Lately, she's struggled in tougher match ups, including last night's against Michigan (8 min I think). Considering she's on Canada Basketball's radar, including being part of their U23 squad this past summer, I expected more.

I’d hate to see where they’d be if they didn’t commit themselves 100% to defense as Coach Bluder said in the preseason. ;)

Caitlin should consider taking a page out of Paige’s or Azzi’s book and try to get her teammates involved at the beginning of the game.

Lol gimme a break--Fudd averages 3 assists per game. Plus have you seen Clark's teammates aside from Czinano? No one else is capable of making a play against a decent defense aside from Caitlin. Marshall/Martin/Davis can't drive against quick defenders or create their own shot. When you smother Czinano and prevent perimeter looks for those players, it basically becomes Clark vs. 5 which is what we saw last night. Clark was brilliant, NC State was clearly the better team.

Talking about NC State...where the heck has that version of Saniya Rivers been the last year and a half? She looked like she did in her high school highlights where she showed shades of Angel McCoughtry 2.0. The form on her shot looked smooth, she finished well attacking the basket. I mean who goes 3-4 from 3 after shooting 1-37 up to that point? It seems like a light bulb got turned on last night for her which is great to see. NC State looked stellar last night. Johnson was as good as I've ever seen her. I thought they defended well, particularly on Czinano and put up 94 points with balanced scoring.

The ACC is talented and deep this year so I think the champ will be the team that was best able to adjust to vastly different matchups. Right now NC State looks to be far and away the most capable. They have depth at every position and can field all sorts of lineups. Louisville is struggling, ND plays a pretty set 1-5 position lineup, UNC lacks interior power, and I’m not sure what VA Tech will do inside if Kitley is in foul trouble. No such obvious deficiencies for NCST so far.

They will need both of them if they want to beat the Lady Vols.

Didn't Virginia Tech lay an egg last year to the Vols?

If they don't beat them this year, the Hokies are dead to me.

Yep..... they always lose to the Lady Vols... except for once.

You know good and well what I might be doing Monday morning if they lose. Forget the Big East... and since the Metro is no longer...... might have to relegate them to the Big South.
