OT: FIFA World Cup Soccer Tickets ?

Anyone got selected from the draw ? I haven't received any emails from fifa yet.

Nothing yet. I did receive the offer to spend $329 just for the guaranteed right to buy tickets in whatever city I wanted. This whole process seems crazy.

I got my time slot. Bought a few games. Expensive (yes, I feel like a sucker), but we're fans and it'll be a fun family activity. Glad I didn't buy the NFTs with the right to buy. I think they are releasing tickets as they go. I can't imagine they're going to run out before giving people access outside the non-Visa prebuy.

Average of $500 per ticket (after tax and fees) for the games I got. Don't judge me! I don't think they released the cheaper seats in the presale. Metlife, along with LA and San Francisco, are the most expensive venues for some reason. I don't know if that's because they are getting the more popular teams.

I piggy-backed onto a friend's lottery selection for a game in Boston. $300 each with fees in the category 2 seats.
 
A friend got us tickets for the Round of 32 match in Foxborough on June 29. Winner of Group E vs a 3rd place team from A, B, C, D or F. Winner of E looks likely to be Germany, so that's cool. The other team could be anybody. Japan would be interesting but I'd be surprised if they aren't 1st or 2nd.

I'm getting two of Brazil, Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti, will find out tomorrow which two. Hoping for Brazil obviously. Going to Scotland the month after, so that would be fun too. Morocco/Haiti is worst case scenario.

Brazil/Haiti seems like the most likely.

Definitely don't pay secondary prices right now, a lot more tickets to be released. But I doubt the tickets get below the lottery price ($300 or so for Foxborough and NYC depending on the section) for any reasonable matchup. Maybe like Jordan/Algeria or Curacao vs. Ivory Coast in Philly or whatever if you want to just check off the bucket list.
 
The post draw lottery opens on 12/11 at 11am for individual matches.

I was able to get tickets to 3 west coast matches via the Visa resale lottery before they sold out. Still looking to get tickets to the second US group match vs Australia in Seattle. Got skunked in the random early lottery. Hopefully can get through next week.

According to FIFA they've sold 2M tickets so far out of about 7M seats. So, plenty of tickets still exist but they are ripping people off worse than any scalpers would. Direct purchase is still best if you can get them. The official resale is closed until the 15th. Unverified tickets are going for $1000 each for the match I need. It's going to be a real game of chicken during the run up. I see some places getting real cheap or real expensive. Everyone's mileage is going to very, but if you're willing to see some tiny nations face off, you should be able to get them.

On another note, I just got the official parking pass quote for LA. $300. Now, that is about what they charge for the Rams, but I'm not paying that for parking. I'll do a personal shot by shot remake of "Falling Down" as the Mike Douglas character first or risk public transit.

Every Mc, Mac, and Mag, within 4000 miles is going to be at that game, plus every Moroccan that can get past DHS.

Morocco is good, like potential finalist good. Scotland is not, but they are extremely happy to be here.
 
If Turkiye wins it's playoff the US group is 3 rematches from the last 6 months. With a full squad the US should be expected to win the group, which is what I'm hoping for ticketwise.
 
I've got tix for France/Norway in Foxboro and France/Senegal, Germany/Ecuador, and Norway/Senegal all in New Jersey. Not bad for picking blindly in the FIFA online blackhole.
 
I got tix for me and friends. Some how all of us got at least one top team, which is nice. I got England/Panama. Friends got Germany, France or Brazil in each of their games.
