OT: Field Of Dreams Game Tonight

Cashman dumpster diving master piece Andrew Heaney to be fair he’s only on the mound due to having 3 starters on the DL.

Yanks have had one of their worst years ever closing out games. That being said, this game was historic and nostalgic despite the L. Great field of dreams game.

It was a great night for baseball, unless you’re a Yankee fan. Boone will shrug it off but he had the closer in.

I haven't followed them closely this season but it seems every time I check in the bullpen blows it. This group has the anti-clutch gene. Could be the South Siders year.

Yep. They’ve blown 5 saves since Chapman went on the IL. You still need a solid 7/8 inning guy, they don’t have it.

I bet Mariano could still actually do this and be better than what they have.

(My buddy went yard in 1999)
I think we've determined earlier in thread that you could hit one out with a fungo bat
a second field built into the corn is borderline offensive. ;)
My original thought, but then in reconsidering it, seating capacity was less than a typical little league field, so that, with the very short dimensions, it makes sense to keep the original intact and build the second, assuming this is an annual thing and used for more purposes than just the one game.

Despite the loss, that was a really fun game. Probably the most fun I've had watching a regular season Yankees game in a long time. The game itself was very interesting, but even in the down moments, I found all of the novelty of it all so much fun. Great job by the MLB.

What a gold mine mixing movies with sports. Costner I'm sure will be involved for a long time and will certainly name his price and make it another entertainment highlight that will make people come.
Maybe see a spinoff of Roy Hobbs, or maybe even see this taken to other sports in a different fashion.
Can we do anything with Caddyshack and a gopher?

Revive the Boneyard Cup, get a stuffed gopher, and get Coach Murray to convince his bother to make a cameo as Spackler.

it has to be done.
