questioning UNC's storming of the court when you are also a ranked team but hey, do it twice! I mean, it was an incredible win after trailing the entire game.

this is better than SHU-Creighton

It’s kind of funny. If game technically wasn’t over after the Trimble shot and the entire UNC bench stormed the court to celebrate, wouldn’t that be a technical foul for each player that came off the bench? Haha

Would be the lamest thing in the world but I wonder what the actual rules would say about that situation

That’s gonna be an electric locker room.

.-.
I didn't realize UNC still court stormed on wins over Duke. You'd think if any school could "act like you've been there before", it would be UNC.
You have to understand students sleep out for these tickets to play a rival that's something like 15 miles down the road.

UNC v Duke is as big as any sporting event rivalry. The ACC's best days are likely gone by, but on Tobacco Road? Fuggetaboutit.

Uh oh a court storming against Scheyer. How many wheelchairs and full body braces will he need to get his players back to Durham?
Time for Jay Bilas to go on a tangent about court storming. And yes Filipowski did try to trip that kid.

I’m kinda impressed that there were only 7 total fouls called in the second half. But actually shocked that 6 of them were on Duke. Would have figured it would the other way round

.-.
Pollsters will be in a weird spot if Illinois wins tonight. They’ll be 7-3 in Q1 with a loss to us handily on a neutral court. We’ll be 5-2 (or 6-2 if nova squeaks from 32-30) with losses to undefeated #1 and probably top 16 St John’s on the road. Both Q1A losses. Wouldn’t be shocked to see Illinois above us based on NET and Kenpom but would be kinda BS given how close the resumes are and our clear H2H win

It’s a bandwagon game. People watch it and have no idea how basketball is played, they’ve been told by their friends how great it is and to pick a team.

I personally think it’s overrated.

I learned some geography from the UK floor just now. Seems there's a spot of Kentucky that's not connected to Kentucky. Checked it out on Google maps. Nobody lives there, although there is a cemetery. It's surrounded on 3 sides by the Mississippi River and Missouri, and to the south by Tennessee. There are no bridges to this area from any surrounding area. I love that kind of weird geography stuff.

That’s the only smart spot in Kentucky, it’s trying its hardest to disassociate with Kentucky.

I'm simply explaining why students (at both schools) storm the court, despite their team being a blue blood.

And for the record, all sports are overrated - I mean, 'fan' is short for fanatic, after all.

Duke got punched in the face! How dare they lose a road game vs a good team!!
What a douchey thing to say. Duke was in control the entire game. The shot at the buzzer gave UNC their FIRST lead of the game. Nothing about those two games was similar.

But you keep your skirt on

Correct. No matter how many teams are in the ACC, the agreement is Duke and North Carolina have to play twice a season in a home and home.

I bet it floods a lot. I have to learn what it's called and get some history. Has to be an interesting story, like that little cutout on the CT/MA border or that bit of Minnesota you can only get to thru Canada.

EDIT: found it - Kentucky Bend

The team you root for has won 2 championships in the last 36 months and is currently a # 1 seed, yet you choose to constantly complain and nitpick. Couldn’t imagine being this grumpy.

After DJing Huskies for years in the 90s, and even opening the short-lived Downtown Hartford Huskies, I took my talents to Duke (for grad school)

These are videos from our grad school campout (2,000+) where you had to arrive by 5pm Friday, and not leave until 3pm Sunday ... with 30+ random check-ins at all hours of the day & night ... one got disqualified for tickets if one missed 2 check-ins through the weekend
