Duke/Michigan atmosphere in DC yesterday

CGI in Georgetown jerseys and you couldn’t tell the difference. Dookies are the same wine and cheese crowd as the Hoya fans but there’s just more of them.

Let’s see who gobbles this kid up. Freshman, 17ppg in 23mpg, 5rpg shooting 52% as a 6’4” guard. Love the hops, craving a bit of this. Does not look like a Hurley profile.

He was originally at Creighton and was suspended for violating team rules and then transferred to McNeese State.

I know highlights don't always tell the complete story, but those highlights make me crave the athleticism and driving ability to the basket this UConn does not have or cannot do besides Silas. I don't know who gobbles him up in the transfer portal, but someone in the P5 will.

Hurley and McDermott are somewhat buddies off the court. I wonder if Hurley and his staff would look at Larry Johnson and if they do, does Hurley ask McDermott what his experiences were with him and what team rules Johnson violated? These are questions that just popped into my head that I have no idea how to answer.

No kidding - exactly what Creighton is missing. Its safe to say he won't be at McNeese next year, looks like an SEC bound kid.

Yep. Creighton would've looked like a very different team with Pop Isaacs, Larry Johnson, and Jackson McAndrew.

You can be draped all over the guy but as long as you aren’t fouling it’s ok??

That is literally the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard
Meh, things get pretty dumb around here. Threatening to punch ruffruff in the face for posting on the BY struck me as pretty dumb. As did doubling down after being called out and saying “I will definitely meet him ANY TIME ANY PLACE”.

Just having some fun on a snow day …

Hoping KU bounces back and beats Houston at home tonight after losing their trap game to cincy

None of us know if they will win, but expect a much better showing and effort from Kansas. That WTF loss at home to Cincy is about 50 hours ago so it's still fresh in their minds and they would love nothing more than to make amends for it.

I’d expect them to come out on fire but this KU team is weird with the DP thing going on.

This Louisville team continues to be an enigma ... and UNC always seems to be lackluster midseason then turns it on and becomes dangerous around March.

I'm going to have Louisville and UVA as early exits in my brackets.

Same - and Vandy.

Has Ville won one really meaningful game? They don't have a win against a team ranked currently, beat a bad UK team and a late ranked Indiana team.

This game is wide open. Looks so different from a BE matchup. The players just have so much more space to shoot. It's a combo of more athleticism and less defense.

This Houston d is nothing like past years, in part due to Roberts moving on. That guy was a menace. Him and Shead together were their version of Castle/Clingan in different ways. They'd harass the ball and always have hands in passing lanes, would impose will on the opponent defensively and on the boards. This squad just doesn't have that. Better offensively, but many steps backward defensively.

Houston is in the danger zone. They need to do something now. They have been outscored 28-8 since they were leading 27-20.

Kelvin Sampson’s downfall will always be his inability to develop a consistent offense. Too reliant on physicality and grabbing rebounds, not enough actual shot making.
