Nothing gets me more pumped then seeing our huskies get on a roll, start firing on all cylinders, and hearing the crowd screaming U-C-O-N-N UCONN UCONN UCONN after the opponent calls time! What are some of your favorite in-game scoring runs of all time? (Yeah, another off-season banter thread.)

My personal favorite has to be the 21-2 run UConn had to end the first half vs UK in Maui in 2010. Kemba was electric and you started to see some glimpses of how special Shabazz would be running the point as a freshman. Also, the atmosphere was great being in a small-ish gym in Maui. And of course, it was extra-sweet vs UK and the squid and was a prelude to us beating them later in the final 4 as well.
To relive the run, start at 29:50 in the video below:

What are some of your favorite all-time UConn runs? I know that run vs BC was epic too.

I know the game ended up being meaningless, but the Texas game at Gampel in 2010 (who was ranked #1 at the time). Blaney had to fill in for (a sick?) Calhoun also. Texas led for most of the game, then UConn took the lead and ended up pulling away. There was a 15-0 UConn run in there at some point too. Dyson and Kemba went off. I have never seen Gampel rocking that hard. Just a really fun game to watch- here's a good link.

There are so many that Clark Kellogg coined the word 'spurtability' to describe the Huskies. I'll have to paraphrase here, but what he said was basically, "This UConn team has spurtability. They can turn a 10 point deficit into a 6 point lead in the blink of an eye."

Or something to that effect.

Since then, he has made it a catch phrase of sorts, but that was where it started.

Easy.

2004 Final Four against Duke. Down 75-67 with three minutes left, we score 12 straight to beat the Dukies and advance to the title game.

Definitely the most important run. Took us all from the depths of almost despair to elation.

While definitely not close to as important I'll throw this one out there as being fun to witness. The 29-2 run in the 2nd half against UMess in the 2002-2003 season was fun to watch after that abysmal first half.

Another fun one...down 10 to Boston College at home with under 3 minutes left in 2002, we go on a 12 - 0 run lead by everyone's favorite whipping boy Taliek Brown, eventually win in OT, and extend the home win streak against them to 8.

This was the game Tony Robertson had two nasty dunks in a row halfway through the 2nd half.

Wasn't that much of a run but down 4 with 10 seconds to go, when Mouring hit a huge 3 and El Amin hit the game winner with 3 seconds to go was special, not to mention all the nasty comments about El Amin's heritage from the Zoo all night. Then El Amin jumps up onto the scorers table to get greeted by a shower of plastic bottles. Awesome finish!

other than the Duke game, we had a 14-0 run to start the game against GTown in 89-90 w/ like 7 of them coming in rapid fire fashion due to our press causing turnovers. The most ridiculous run I've ever seen was when we started the game 32-0 against an utterly hapless New Hampshire team in the mid-90s.

I watch this video at Least 5 times a day and I'm not kidding. By far and away my favorite run ever. Never screamed so loud in my life.
It was past dinner time and the Huskies got hungry and Gator was on the menu. Awesome run!

Gives me chills thinking about how I watched that unfold literally right before me. Forever thankful for that team giving me the chance to attend a Final four as a student... And somehow manage to be front and center

And my personal favorite, Pitt 2004 in the BET. 55 Pitt to 48 UConn with 4 mins to go turned into 59 to 58.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the incredible comeback win in the 1996 Big East Tournament final against Allen Iverson and Georgetown. Down eleven points and they score the last twelve, with Ray Allen hitting the game winner on a prayer in the lane for his first points of the second half.

Ray Allen...first points of the second half.

Seriously though f Boubacar Aw. I still hate that guy.

As for the thread, I'd nominate the 1990 21-1 run vs. BU in the second half immediately followed by the 17-0 run against Cal in the first half. Not sure the XL's ever been louder.

That's the one I was going to mention. I was at the game so it had to be 92 or 93. Not only couldn't New Hapshire score, but they barely could get the ball across half court. I'd bet they turned it over in the backcourt on 60% of their possessions during the run. We legitimately thought we might shut them out in the first half.
