Favorite Summer Olympic sports?

It's those damn analytics.

I will say this. Velodrome is the coolest name for a sports arena/field/court, etc.

Track and field, swimming.

Watched the men's volleyball this morning. They got rekt. My wife used to play with Misty May in Hawaii. She knew our libero. He got abused, even though he's supposed to be the best libero in the world. Wished for a better effort, but interesting to watch and cheer on regardless.

Rugby 7s didn't disappoint, men's or women's. High jump final was really great feel good moment of the Olympics so far for me

MyKalya Skinner's agent is very happy right now. She is going to get a lot of run off of a single silver medal.

Far too many service errors as well. I don't know too much about the libero except that he wears a different color shirt and can't block. How was he outplayed?

He was aced a bunch early on that dug them too deep a hole. They had his number and he was choking. The wife says once you get aced once or twice, it becomes very psychological. Like a pitcher giving up back to back homeruns. He started playing much better the third game, but like you said, the service errors by the whole team drowned any chance of a comeback.

The libero is the only player who can go in and out of the game frequently. He/she is the defensive specialist reserved to the back row. So as you can surmise, needs to be able to field serves. Erik had a nightmare start.

Snoop Dogg and Kevin Hart have been doing Olympic highlights featuring commentary, and some play-by-play of sports they don't understand. Pretty funny. The basketball (which they do understand) segment featured a basketball playing robot and and a story on Ira Brown that I was not aware of.

Thanks, I missed the early action so I missed the aces.

I laughed so hard when he took a serve right to the shoulder. Can't get out of the way?

The timing on their serving is incredible.

I don't know if any of you have seen Sydney McLaughlin hurdle, but she is an amazing talent. She runs probably the most difficult and painful event in the 400m hurdles, but it looks effortless.
She's great and the men's 400m hurdle final will probably be the event of the Olympics between Karsten Warholm and Rai Benjamin.

Mijain Lopez the greatest wrestler ever and one of the greatest Olympians ever, 4 straight Olympics with gold.

I need to hear Snoop on the dressage segment. Horse doing a Crips walk.

Warholm crushed it. Sprinted 400 meters and jumped 10 hurdles in under 46 seconds. The announcers seemed to say it will never happen again.

Benjamin was reeling him in but after the final hurdle lost him.

That was one of the best races ever. Warholm is incredible, he takes off at the gun every race and sets a brutal pace daring people to catch him and they never do.

I think quietly the shot putters are the most impressive athletes. Massive strength and they shouldn't be able to move like they do at that size.

Ryan Crouser was very impressive. 6'7'' and 320 pounds and saved his best toss for last. He was also very consistent with all attempts going over 22 meters.

I was in and out of sleep last night watching the finals. If I heard correctly last night, Kovacs benches close to 800 lbs???????

Wow, I watched the finals but missed that comment.

19 yo Nevin Harrison just crushed the canoe sprint. Cool story how she got into canoeing because of hip dysplasia.

Canoe sprint is hysterical as a sport. Reminds me of old days of Superstars when NFL players would compete in rowing and someone would split an oar in half virtually every race.

I could have dominated if they had canoe capsizing.

Squats, not benches.

Go back to sleep, Chinny.
