Favorite Lines From A Movie

from "Nobody's Fool" (1994):

Sully (Paul Newman) (upon being informed by his lawyer that he doesn't celebrate Christmas because he's Jewish): "You're Jewish? Huh... I never knew that... How come you're not smart?"

Good one Huskee11. That movie is full of quotables. "Some place warm, a place where the beer flows like wine, where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talking about a little place called Aspen."

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid:

"I can't swim".

"Well hell, the fall will probably kill you".

Taken:

"Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you".

"I will find you;
I will kill you".

"Good luck".

Love this thread: all these are fabulous, and could go on forever. Here's 2:

Stanley Kowalski: Hey, Stella! Hey, Stellaaa!

And a tip 'o the hat to Scoop, above: "You've got to ask yourself a question: 'do I feel lucky?' Well, do ya, punk?"
Old dude and you were the inspiration.

If Game Of Thrones can be considered a movie then,

"Chaos isn't a pit. Chaos is a ladder."

If not then, King Kong:

" 'Twas beauty killed the beast".

The Terminator:

"I'll be back".

Wall Street:

"Greed is good".

The Sixth Sense:

"I see dead people".

Die Hard:

"Yipee ki yay -er".

A Tale Of Two Cities:

"Tis a far, far better thing than I've ever done before.
"Tis a far, far better place I go than I've ever been before".

Here's a quote I kept in my wallet for years:
"I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them."

Anyone know the actor and the Movie?

The Duke from "the Shootist" I believe, a movie title that Wayne never liked.

I should have precluded you and Rocky from venturing guesses. You because you've probably seen very Duke movie and Rocky because with all his monitors humming, it is probably playing on one of them right now! Good job my fine friend, good job.

From "Gettysburg," during a rebel artillary attack on Little Round Top:

"Tom, don't stand so near to me; another round that close and it could be a rough day for Mother."

- Jeff Daniels as Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, speaking to his younger brother

My favorite Wayne quote:

"Somebody oughta belt you in the mouth. But I won't, I won't. The hell I won't."

Can you name the movie?

A couple from The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai:

Buckaroo: Don't be mean. Remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

My namesake: That's big-boo-TAY

Monty Python and the Holy Grail:

Bridge Guard: What is the unladen air speed of a swallow?
Arthur: African or European?
Guard: Aaah!

(different) Bridge guard: It's just a scratch!

Princess Bride

Vezzini: Inconceivable!
Inigo: How come you keep using that word? I don't think it means what you think it means.

Warner Bros:

Tasmanian Devil: What for you bury me in the cold cold ground?

"Now yous can't leave"

"You're only allowed three great women in your lifetime. They come along like the great fighters, every ten years. Rocky Marciano, Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis. Sometimes you get'em all at once. Me? I had my three when i was 16. That happens. What are you gonna do? That's the way it goes, you know?

You both flatter me and insult me DefenseBB. The Shootist is an old favorite of mine and I even know that the automobile in the movie was a 1903 Oldsmobile Curved Dash. Of course, I cannot recall if I ate lunch today.
