FAU Post Game Thread

I am not but you are kidding yourself in a violent sport where your career can end in one play that you should not maximize your earnings. Particularly running backs who take so many hits and have a very shorten professional career even if they make the NFL,
Yeah well some will and some won't, Durell Robinson left and disappeared and Cam stayed and flourished. There are lessons in both scenarios.

And guess what both could have been the correct decision for each player.

Exactly. Not everyone is gonna bolt. Some will some won't. That's my point.
As somebody becomes a better player for you, you will have to increase his compensation. That is why I said you need to make wise decisions with your limited resources. My original point still holds. I think we spent most of our NIL on the offensive players. And it showed since we had a terrific offense. Unfortunately with limited funds left we could not get good defensive players particularly DLine from the portal.

I don't know. We got the AAC DPOY at LB he didn't pan out. We got safeties from Penn State and Wisconsin who never beat out McClean and Mollette. We got a DL from Nebraska. The starting OL is mostly home grown. Hoeh starts and Chan started some games.

Did we spend more on offense probably cause there were more players needing retention. Continuing to build out NIL and revenue sharing is going to be important.

The way I looked at it we spent a significant amount to retain our offensive players and it paid off having a great offense. The bad was I think there was little money left over to go after defensive players especially DLine who are expensive to obtain.
Likely paid Bell a hefty sum. Evers more than most. The rest of the offense stayed. So D got the short shrift maybe.

D line was small. LB’s didn’t pan out except Parham. Where was King? He killed us last year.
