That last defensive sequence where FAU gained like 60 yards in 25 seconds might be enough to fire Brock for cause.

Might be the PTSD, but I don't think a 3-3-5 defensive scheme can be successful if you don't have 5 stars across the board.

I was thinking that we can all get worked up on how bad our Defense is or….

remember we are not in a conference….
We have no playoff chance…

And we just wrapped up likely one of the most entertaining seasons in all of Div 1 football.

No game was a blowout really…. Maybe 1 or 2. but all other games were nail biters.

And why do we watch? To be entertained.

I would've loved to watch us blow out this team but at the end of the day, this was one of the most entertaining games I’ve listened to in quite some time.

I know the defense this year is bad…but they had to be gassed also by the end of the game because they were beyond horrendous. That was hard to watch.

What’s frustrating is that the defense didn’t improve as the year went along. I give Sammis credit for the fourth quarter play calling…but what’s up with the holding penalties? Refs seemed a bit flag happy.

But…hard to complain about 9-3. Love to get that tenth win in the bowl!

I don't think it's a matter of them not improving. But I do think that we have matchup problems with certain offenses because we have certain deficiencies.

We held Air Force to a season low offensive output if I recall. We held Duke to 11 points less than FAU... that tells me that there's a matchup problem.

Let's hope that we can continue to increase NIL, continue to show folks in the portal that this is a place that can showcase them to play on Sundays, and continue to go bowling...

Hard to be good at your job with the players we have on defense. Before we start calling Sammis special let’s see how the offense will be without Joe and Skylar next year.

So don't kill Brock for the players but don't give Sammis credit cause the players? Makes sense.

You should be fired for giving up nearly 700 yards as a DC. There is no excuse under the sun that allows that to happen to 3 win G5 squad. If I was the HC his bags would be packed tomorrow.

Not that I had any faith in our defense to get stops in the early going scoring so fast like we are the 80s Lakers think it effected our defense a bit as far as fatigue goes. Our D didn't get much of a break with us scoring fast and FAU fast tempo. Ideally would've liked 5-7 minute TD drives of course you can't fault the offense for scoring tds.

Great performances by Joe, Skyler playing hurt, Cam as always, welcome back Mel Brown. Neider and Murphy with clutch catches. Honig and Hansen with clutch catches.

In the end both Ds were pretty bad. Ours was worse, but not by much. The difference was their O made three big mistakes. Our O made 0. Thanks boys. GREAT SEASON!!
