Fame is relative, apparently

Has anyone on the Boneyard ever been on Jeopardy?
I have not, but when I was at UConn another guy in the dorm and I used to watch it at 3 o'clock after our last class. There was no one else in the lounge. Then at 7 PM they would re-broadcast the same episode which pretty much everyone would watch after dinner. We would take turns answering the questions. People were like "you guys should go on!" neither of us ever bothered to explain the basis of our apparent encyclopedic knowledge.

You think they are going to know anything about the WNBA?
Those people know all kinds of stuff. Stuff I never even heard of so..YEAH...its very possible they might. One knew who Caitlin Clark was so he knew a little.

Sorry that was rhetorical. No, they are not going to know anything about the WNBA.

.-.

I have not, although one of my friends growing up was, many years ago. He did really well although he did not win. It was fun watching him. As a kid I never thought of him as especially knowledgeable and smart but he probably didn’t think I was the sharpest knife in the drawer either.
I was on over 30 years ago. Very different game now, much more money involved. I lost.

My brother was on Ranger Andy when he was a Cub Scout :p
I was on the show with my best friend. It took me decades to accept it was Ranger Andy and not Ranger Randy though. I kept thinking the other people were wrong about that. Jeopardy is on hold for now. You feel a little old when these smart people are rattling off answers but then none buzz in on the easy (for most of the Boneyarders I’m sure) 60’s and 70’s common knowledge questions like old TV shows, etc. Actually considering some of their ages they do pretty well even on some of that old stuff.

Oppenheimer was The Bomb
Oppenheimer was The Bo
If you ever watched the movie or read the book about J. Robert Oppenheimer, one of the smartest individuals who ever lived, someone who was also, skinny, nerdy and odd looking with his corncob pipe and pork pie hat, he was both adored and pursued by 100’s of women throughout his adult life.

Now Oppenheimer did have a really big bomb………
Smoking a corncob pipe and wearing a pork pie hat attracted 100's of women? Why didn't I know this during my college days? I thought I was Mr. smooth in a pair of penny loafers and a blazer. Big dummy. But I guess Oppenheimer swept them off their feet with his genius level brilliance, if not his bomb both something that at the time I was somewhat lacking! :)
