I'm sorry for being ignorant, did UConn just offer these two?

Yes, they did. Should've specified, my bad. @tcf15 can you edit this thread and Jordan Nwora's to reflect that they're offered.

Verbal commits is not always reliable.

Nah, they've been pretty good in my experience. Quicker at updating than any of the other 3 major sites.

Besides, as TCF showed, both guys tonight either personally confirmed the offer or had their schools tweet something out.

Yeah, was just responding to Leebo on why I initially asked if you knew they had just been offered. VC is better than the rest but still have seen some cases where they show offers that don't exist.

Verbal commits is not always reliable.

They provide links to their sources if you want to look for yourself.

You can choose to take a tweet or something with a grain of salt, offers are never going to be etched in stone by the school.

@BallasTV will be posting on Twitter today a short documentary on this kid..don't know much about him, but a lazy comparison would be along the lines of Wenyan Gabriel.

I love offers like these because they either:

A) Get us in early on a recruit that will soon blow up

B) The kid will fade and our interest will along with it

Win-win.

After seeing the pics, sign him up. We need a replacement for Phil Nolan's goofy antics and he looks like he might be the guy

Good comp, really like what I've seen from the video.

Great form on his perimeter shot and he appears very comfortable taking it. Very good handle for a 6'9" player

Kevin Free early on after the first dunk with Avery Johnson looking at him LOL.

Kid is pretty skilled for his size.

From TOS:

“My top five right now, in no order, is Monmouth, ODU, UAB, DePaul, and Rutgers,” Gueye said. “I will make my decision after my visit this weekend.”

...next.

If that's his list, then I think it's pretty obvious on which side interest was lost first.

While he may not be good enough for UConn at this point, I really like his game and think he'll have a successful career, hopefully attending not Rutgers

Hmmm, Monmouth or Rutgers. A tough decision.
