Don't be shocked if Miller goes elsewhere and takes a head/associate job at a lesser school. He's wanted to work his way back up to the top of the bench, Hobbs too.

That said, I don't think we necessarily need a UConn guy, there's already a bunch of them on the bench, including the head honcho, so there isn't going to be a lack of coaches who know what brought our program to the top of the heap. We need the right guy, who if he happens to be a UConn guy, that's an added bonus.

Miller may leave for another head coaching gig but why step down for another associate gig. Unless its associate at UNC, Duke or one of the blue bloods it's a step down.

Miller is the associate head coach at UConn now.

If he left for a head coaching spot then I imagine Hobbs would move up to associate head coach. That said I don't think Miller leaves after this year, maybe after next.

Remember Blaney could recruit if he wanted to so adding another capable body of impact from certain sections of the country wouldn't be a bad idea!

Recruiter, recruiter, recruiter. One good player will net more wins over replacement in a year than any #2 coach will in a career.

Personally I'd love seeing either Craig Austrie or Donnell Beverly become a member of our coaching staff. IMO, we don't win the NC in 2011 without Beverly and by that I'm not referring to what he did on the court.

I'm not a huge fan of getting a recruiter, when they leave they take the recruits with them.

Well if that's true, then we should get a nice influx of recruits once we hire this guy from his old school. Right?

I like Facey's HS coach - Buck.

Isn't there some rule about recruits and coaches, or is that AAU.

That said, he looks like he knows how to coach from the games I have seen. I wouldn't be shocked to see him as an assistant or head coach somewhere in college eventually.

Hakeem Olajuwon. You know, to coach the frontcourt guys. Not to mention what recruit would turn that down.

Yes, I live in a fantasy world.

Wasn't it the assistant coach at Iowa State?
OK ISU beat UCONN last year and Royce is a decent talent but what ISU has put on the court leaves us to see this guy as a recruitment guru? Give me someone who is a resorce kids can talk to about the NBA and has been in the league a long time so can relate some wisdom on some guys who came out too early and/or got injured and had nothing to fall back on. Donyell may fit this.
