The Big East & ESPN reunite with streaming rights deal. I dislike ESPN, but this is good news for viewing games. The best part, NO MORE FloSports

For what it's worth, this deal makes having a Hulu live subscription a better choice than YouTube TV, because you can usually get a Hulu live bundled package that includes ESPN plus at about $83 a month.

I find it ironic that one of the reasons why we left the American was to avoid having Connecticut women's basketball games on ESPN plus. And yet, here we are. No one beats the mouse.

I think this is more about what isn't picked up elsewhere. I assume the other media companies in the pricier deal paid for higher-priority games.

Although I am sure they will throw a UConn game or two onto ESPN-plus just to be annoying.

This is important information for me. I already get Disney+ so it’s just a matter of upgrading to the Hululive package.

You may have to cancel your Disney+ and then get the Hulu live deal that includes Disney+ and ESPN plus. You don't need another package, because this gives you the regular "cable lineup" of channels. Plus, you get all the Hulu movie and television show on demand functionality. I think it's the best deal relative to all the options available.

Make sure you also add UConn + to your smart TV, as I think there will be a lot of women's basketball content on similar to what was previously shown on SNY. There is no charge for this app.

I don't know that every UConn woman's basketball game will be on the NBC TBS TNT platform. Minimally I would expect at least a few games on ESPN plus, but it may be more than that.

Since it is school produced, the quality varies. I suspect UConn home games will be reasonable broadcasts. Away games? There's no guarantee.

We are YouTube TV users. I bought Hulu live last year just so that I could get a couple of games that I really wanted to see. The steaming and technical issues were so bad that I immediately canceled Hulu. Never again.

I used to use YouTube TV. On my old smart TV, YouTube TV was glitchy while Hulu live was not. I use Hulu live now and the quality is excellent.

People can make their own monetary decisions, but that's a good chunk of money for UConn at home against a HBCU.

I always have used Hulu Live for the games and I'm excited that it'll be another worthwhile expenditure again this season. Better than having to pay for all the extra channels plus Peacock, etc etc.

I live in the absolute boondocks of Eastern Connecticut and we use tablets for our streaming. Hulu couldn’t reconcile that the physical address of the tablet was different than the connection point for our ISP. Many times that connection point is in Massachusetts or RI. As a result, Hulu would think we were out of market and not allow the connection, no matter how many times I allowed it to see the tablet location. Even when it did connect, it would freeze. We’ve just never had those issues with YouTube TV. Even when we travel, it asks if we are traveling, we say yes, and everything works fine.

I did try Hulu with our smart TV and a hardwired connection because they suggested that that might work. That didn’t work either. I suspect it’s just some combination of our ISP and Hulu not really getting along.

If FloSports was the alternative, then ESPN+ is a nirvana by comparison.
