Just now, a scroll at the bottom of the screen on ESPN said that Iowa State and Baylor have contacted the Big East about possibly joining should the Big 12 collapse. Sorry if this was discussed elsewhere.

why is baylor not be scooped up by either the SEC or Pac 12 they have a basketball and more and importantly football program on the rise, if we are looking to add teams Baylor would be a great add all around except for location but thats thrown out the window at this point.

Coach K has said that the ACC should go to 16 teams. You'd have to assume that UConn would be in the mix.

location.....they don't capture any major market with Baylor being from Waco....PAC 12 puts a ring fence around it's regions by taking all the major programs in that area. SEC gets into the Texas market with bigger football name in A&M....and that's enough for them unless they can get another BIG name program. SEC can afford to be selective because they truly believe no conference can touch them (and they are right). Baylor just isn't a big enough name yet.

Ah, i see still think if the Big East adds teams which they will look to do Baylor would be a great get. What's the deal Mizzu pretty sure they've been rejected by Big 10 no? If the Pac or SEC doesn't pick them up they would be another solid get.

Depending on how all the cards begin to fall Baylor may make some sense for the Big East. Big East....or whatever it is eventually called could have two Texas teams that are close to each other in proximity (TCU is in Forth Worth and is 2 hours away). The problem is that none of us know how the cards are going to fall
