Should UConn get to play Baylor. Geno is the coach that has the ability with his team to take them down. Look at the Olympics with all the 'Bigs' thrown at him. & he still won. Granted he had All- Americans playing for him. He has the experience & talented players. He has to put it all together & bring home the 'Bacon' that Griner is after. I believe they can do it!

I would have given Ucon a better than even chance to beat Baylor before they had their injuries to the guards. Now I still think they have a good chance to do so, but the odds have gone up

I think that is the biggest question in the tourney. No one has beaten them at full strength in 2 years.

I agree that UConn has the best chance. ND does not have a talented 6'5" post who can shoot from the outside, as we do. ND's big weapon is the dribble drive into the paint, and Griner largely takes that away.

Beating ND, if we face them, will be as big a task as beating Baylor, or nearly so.

I agree. ND starts with Diggins and Sims negates her. ND simply has no answer for BG on either end of the court. ND has improved since they played Baylor, but so has Baylor. In that game, Sims was just returning from " injury" and looked rusty and Hayden was benched for most of the game and Baylor went on its run when she came in with about 5 minutes to go in the game.

UCONN has talent at each position but Baylor has superior talent at the two most important positions, PG and BG. I felt that Baylor played an OK game at UCONN but not their best. I am doubtful that UCONN can expect the same type of shooting night from KML so someone else will need to score more and that someone will need to be Stewart. Baylor has the size and length to bother Stewart so she may be a year away from having a big game against the Lady Bears.

I don't give Stanford much of a chance unless Sims is out again.

Well, ESPN interviewed BG during the selection show and it was clear that BG thought that no one has a chance of beating them!

Why would the guy even ask that dumb question? Did he really expect her to say that she thought that another team could beat her team? I liked the answer as she avoided answering by giving a silly answer.

That's like asking a boxer which other boxer could whip his ass. A confident athlete needs to have a sense of invincibility.

I loved how she handled those questions. The more I see her the more I like her. Can't wait to root for her when she is tearing up the WNBA with Taurasi.

ND better not sleep on South Carolina....or on Duke. I would not be shocked if they had to buy tickets to the final 4.

I have this feeling in my gut that nd misses the Final Four this year. The morning after the BET championship loss, I felt that way and I thought it was just bitterness making me feel that way. If anything, the feelings have grown in strength while my "distaste" for the loss has subsided. I am not psychic, at least not that I know. But I just have this absolutely positive feeling there will be no irish green in the Final Four. Baylor green? Oh yes. But not shamrock/hunter/kelly/lime/forest/fern/jungle/moss or whatever shade of green the nd uniforms might be trimmed in.

And is Baylor beatable? Of course, any team can beat any other team on any given day given the right breaks, good officiating (or at least evenly bad officiating) and the better team on paper making more mistakes and the opposing team capitalizing on those mistakes. That is why they play the game. I think Baylor is the favorite, but don't be engraving that championship trophy quite yet.

Going into the NCAAs the big questions that will be answered are. Is Bria healthly and is she shooting the ball close to what she did last season when she was clutch and is Breannas breakout game just that. We need both to be on to beat Baylor. KML and Stef will get their points and with Bria and Breanna on they will get more looks.

Lets face it UConn has not been healthly this season . Im hoping that this layoff will help. Im also hopeing that Breanna can continue to play like she did againest ND and Brias shooting is more improved. If that happens we have a really good chance to win another NC. I dont think there is a defense that can stop us with all 4 hitting shots. Griner is the X factor and we will need to contain her.

One other note. ND has Duke and TAM in their bracket. That is going to be a very good athletic game.

We are really really banged up...If we had a pre-injury AA Bria, we would not be licking our wounds....that's for sure. BBall is a very refined sport, depending to a great degree on subtle skills and a serious and nagging injury can, not necessary does, but can, really throw a player off, and if it's a key player, it descimates a team and that team's expectations. Look at what happened to Baylor the time Sims was hurt. Do you think they would be where they are now if her injury had been really serious? So you lose some, you win some, and you can't predict this stuff.
