UConn picked to finish 5th. Seems fair. Is this finally the year UConn outperforms their pre-season projection in the AAC?

It's farewell to the AAC for UConn after this season. Twenty years from now, what are people going to say about the Huskies' seven-season association with the American?

Gasaway: In 20 years, people will say, "UConn used to be in the American?"

Lol.

In 20 years I will be 93. My hope is to forget the AAC years and recall my 8, yes 8 , final four trips and our 7 Natl Championships.

We are only going to go win 3 more championships????

We have been in the AAC for only 7 years? It seems like 20. 20 long years.

I think we can finish anywhere from 6th-2nd, there are a lot of factors including team health, frosh performance & growth & how other teams fare. Memphis is young but supremely talented, Cincy has a depleted team even with Cumberland & a new coach, & Houston will be solid but lacks true top shelf talent. I think we have a solid shot at a 3rd place finish but we will have to play well & stay healthy

I can see UConn gelling and winning the conference
I can see UConn experiencing some growing pains and finishing 5th or 6th
Another year of going into a season with excitement but trepidation also
I think UConn is 1-2 years away from saying - we are definite league title and national contenders

Actually the AAC is the original Big East who sold that name to C7 in exchange for $70,000,000.00 and we we a founding member Of the original.
So this is the first time UConn actually changed conferences since the late 1977-78.
