Eric Reibe to play in Nike Hoop Summit game tonight

His defense will be the only thing that keeps him from seeing serious minutes this season. Hopefully a summer in the School of Dan Hurley will get him ready for November.
Now we're talking. Maybe some of our alumni will be around to assist.

So, just to get back to what Reibe did in this game: he finished with 13 points on 71% shooting (3rd best in the game) and 8 boards in 25 minutes. He had the 5th highest FIC (floor impact counter) stat in the game. Not bad against a loaded US team.
Hes going to be very good in his time here. Thats all i care about. Funny how people seem to get down a bit on him after the McDAA lol!

He has looked better and better each game I have seen. He is actually a pretty good shot blocker and his abilitty to take his man off the dribble from the 3 point line is impressive. Kid looks really talented.

The Capital Game highlights were very impressive. His timing was right on. He not only blocked shots, he blocked shots and recovered the ball. Since they were only highlights they didn't show how many times he changed or prevented shots. This kid is going to get minutes.

All high school players need to get into a real strength and conditioning program. It's not a question of getting bigger, sometimes a player sacrifices quickness as he gains bulk. He already looks to have a good natural base. How he augments his natural growth as his body fills out is important. We want him to keep his athleticism and bounce.

Could there be a line up with both reibe and reed is on the floor for long stretches?
If Reibe can quickly translate some of those perimeter skills to college, we will almost certainly see stretches of he and Reed together. Not sure how long of stretches as they’re still going to have to manage fatigue and fouls but now that we actually have two bigs with complementary skill sets to make it work, it should be an interesting look to throw at opponents.

Yes, quicker and more agile than I expected. Can anyone say double bigs??(and yes, I know we would worry about foul accumulations with Reed and Reibe in together))

He just needs to go to a few of the beer festivals his dad goes to.
